Great Book for Teens and Adults
This is definitely a great step-up from beginner bracelet books like the Klutz books. I always made friendship bracelets as a girl and randomly decided I wanted to make some more now as an adult and ordered this book hoping it would be what I need.Turns out, it is EXACTLY what I wanted. The first couple bracelets and simpler and a very nice refresher course (though it may seem overwhelming to someone who has never made these bracelets before). After that, the bracelets become more intricate and more beautiful. Most of them do not look like someone people would assume a little kid made.Only reason I didn't give it four stars is that I wish it had more designs. But it does have a lot as well as easy instructions and great illustrations and pictures. Wonderful book for an intermediate bracelet-maker.

Wide variety of patterns with clear directions
Unlike most similar books, this has quite clear directions and also tells you how much thread you will need for the bracelet. There is a wide variety of patterns and the photography is good. There were a couple of patterns I wished had been included. I just finished one from the book and it is quite impressive.

Need a challenge? Look no further!
This book was exactly what I was looking for! I've been binge bracelet making for months and needed a change from the common patterns and am very satisfied with the styles and difficulty levels shown in this book. I've never seen them before! Only issue is that the pics of the finished bracelets look like photocopy images and don't do the designs justice. The instructions are great and I can't wait to try each one of these patterns!

Not wonderful
This book is okay in that the patterns are very easy to follow and I have only found one pattern with a mistake. The only problem with the bracelets is that most of the bracelets in this book are simply not attractive at all. I have tried different colors thinking the bracelets would be prettier made up--they're not. The author suggests using #5 pearl cotton to make the bracelets, and maybe they would be prettier using that. However, I can only get very large skeins of that product for a very big price. I don't want to make 4,000 bracelets with the same few colors that I could afford.

Interesting
This book is definitely not intended for beginners although there are some simpler designs. Most of the designs are challenging but very fun to learn. I do wish there were more designs.

Perfect for learning Friendship Bracelets
One of the best books out there for friendship bracelets. Pretty easy to follow directions, even for a Grandmother, which build of each other giving one a lot of know how.

Great book
I cannot praise this book enough! The instructions are very clear and the pictures are very good quality. It is the first time I have tried to make a friendship bracelet and I was a little bit in awe of starting. Ineed not have worried. The instructions are extremely well written and as long as you concentrate you cannot go wrong. I have decided to work through this lovely book and have made the first two bracelets. They have turned out just like the pictures in the book.Ten out of ten from me!!!! I did also buy 'My Friendship Bracelet Maker' which is a plastic board which is so easy to use and a definate must if you want to have a go at making the bracelets. I bought both the book and the Bracelet maker from Amazon. Both are excellent.

One of the best
If you're interested at all in learning how to make friendship bracelets and want a book to start off with, I recommend this. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and there are several designs in this book that I haven't seen elsewhere. It uses only two basic knots throughout the entire book, the forward knot and the backward knot, and from them creates several beautiful designs that I never tire of knotting into bracelets myself. The pictures are clearly labelled and the book gives guidelines on how long to cut each string per bracelet. One note, however, for one bracelet (marked the Abunai in the book) you'll need to adjust those lengths as the nature of the design demands certain strings be a good bit longer than others. Aside from this, the book is well worth the money as far as I'm concerned.
