I originally gave this a bad review. After using it for awhile, I got used to how the spring and side arm work. You do need a lot of practice to be able to pull off a paper towel using only one hand, but if you position the side support arm correctly, it does work. Also, you need to buy the better paper towels that have good perforations. The stainless steel is a good quality and nice and heavy so it doesn't slide across the counter.

I picked this item for two reasons: one handed tearing of the paper towel and the look of stainless steel in the kitchen. The item looks great; l love the silvery finish. The item works for one handed tearing when the paper towel roll is new. But once the roll gets about a third used, the arm no longer reaches the paper and it's back to using two hands to get the towels off the roll.

Quality product that functions and looks good too. I even put mine out on the counter!Instructions to assemble easy to follow, an allen wrench included. Parts wrapped in plastic and foam, no damage.

Very sturdy and nice looking. However it appears that they sent a used one. Instructions say to remove the protective film and there was none. Also it came with a small dent.

The round handle looks nice but doesn't do the job! Need to use both hands to tear a paper out, returning.

I ordered this paper towel holder because I was tired of getting several paper towels when I need only from my current paper towel holder. I LOVE THIS!! Quick and easy assembly, if you really want to call attached the rod and tightening a couple of screws assembly. Actually like this paper towel holder so well, that I ordered a second one to have at our Christmas party.

The media could not be loaded.  Does not work for one hand operation.The base is not 7 inches in diameter as advertised, it measures approximately 6 5/8 inches and if you’re measuring from the tension bar then the max diameter for the roll of paper towel can not exceed 5 7/8 inches. I tried using a Costco brand roll and does not work, yes you can force a roll in and tear the paper towel with 2 hands but that defeats the point of purchasing this item.I think the tension bar is pretty much useless even for smaller roll. I think the spring on the tension bar is too stiff, you can use the Allen wrench to adjust the position of the bend of the tension bar but that would be a pain to adjust every time the size of the roll gets smaller after each use. Pointless, this product would probably be a better product without the tension bar in the way.Overall a bad design, and quality of material is ok, very thin steel, not sure if it's real stainless. But 2 stars because looks are decent.I posted a video as reference.

This is a great product, easy assembly, looks good, more importantly works well.
