BRIGHT bulbs. No error messages.
UPDATE: Bulbs initially worked perfectly on my 2010 VW Routan SEL. Within a few days they blew two 15 amp fuses. Long story made short, ultimately I went back to conventional bulbs for my Routan. I was disappointed that this little upgrade did not work for me. Can't say if the fault lies with the vehicle or the bulbs so I'm revising to a neutral (3 star) review.ORIGINAL REVIEW:Worked for rear turn signals on 2010 VW Routan as replacement for standard bulbs 3157.The first LED bulb did not work immediately when installed. I pulled it out, turned 180*, and reinserted firmly. Worked perfectly. Second bulb also worked perfectly.The bulbs just barely fit through the access hole in the light assembly but they DID fit, with no rubbing, scraping, or need to persuade. They are big but they fit.And BRIGHT. That's why I wanted them. In heavy traffic I want people to see my signals. They won't miss them now!No error message! Previous LED turn signal bulbs were not recognized by the onboard computer, generating error messages every time I started the car. That's not only annoying, it's dangerous. What if a bulb really is out??Very pleased with the BRIGHT bulbs and no more error messages.

Update - Bulb failed after exactly one year. Nice quality bulbs, worked as described
Installed in 2018 Legacy (front turn signals ONLY, not parking light bulbs). My only complaint is that the diameter of the bulb is just slightly larger than stock bulb and it was a VERY tight fit to get the bulb into the housing. The bulb is brighter than stock and I have NO HYPERFLASH with my install (my rear lights are stock).Updated... bulb failed 1 year and 4 days after purchase.

Hyperflash still waste of money
The bulb hyperflashes badly. I do not feel that it was worth the 40$. I asked before I bought and checked and double checked to see if it would fit. The clearance of the housing in the car adding a resistor would be very difficult.I searched for built in resistors and found these bulbs.They are not that was promised.also I noticed one of the bulbs is actually bent aswell.

Hyperflash when headlights are on. Not as advertised.
These bulbs may actually be brighter than my headlights. Oh, and they hyperflash. Now I have to get different ones or fiddle with some resistor adapter. That's just obnoxious.
