BatteryMon Battery 6GTPY 5XJ28 for Dell Precision M5520 / XPS 15 9550 9560 Series Laptop - 11.4V 97Wh

The battery works fine but there seems to be a compatibility issue from time to time when I'm booting up. Every since I put this battery in, I have had trouble with booting the system. If I hold down the power button and restart twice, then it boots. I'm actually going to buy a new battery since I've had this one for quite some time. I will go with a different brand.

I have maintained a fleet of over 100 laptops in a corporate setting before. It's possible to imagine how many batteries I've replaced because the math is simple, they're batteries. If they are good batteries and you use them hard but treat them well you replace them every 2 years or so. A few hundred batteries.Why Dell doesn't just sell replacement batteries I have no idea but we're forced to look on places like Amazon for replacements. And all the replacements have reviews like this one, where I tell you the battery fit just fine and looked just fine but showed up with appear to be either 3 or 4 bad cells. Which is terrible.Proof attached - the machine uses battery normally until approximately 60% then it crashes down to 8% with hard power down approaching.I know how to carefully drain and recharge a battery to attempt to revive it, including tweaking BIOS settings to ensure it lets you access all the power available as opposed to a desktop / plugged in profile (which is otherwise better for daily use). This battery is just in general mostly dead on arrival.Anyone know a reliable source for replacement Dell batteries? If so I'd love to hear it.

I have used this product for about 6 months now, and battery life is about 2/3 already. Trash battery life, but well I have no option. I would rather have 2/3 battery life than to buy Dell official expensive battery.

Shortly after purchasing this battery to replace the manufacturer's battery, my Dell XPS began having serious issues. Anytime the computer is removed from the electrical plug, the computer will blue screen me within 10 minutes. This has been going on for awhile, so I simply stopped removing it from the outlet. However, then the battery actually stopped charging. The last blue screen I got appears to have wiped all the files on my laptop. Thank god I didn't wipe my SD card from my camera and can recover the last photos I took of my grandfather before he passed away. There's a reason they only offer a 6 month replacement. It's because the battery is going to completely disappoint you between 6 and 12 months. Terrible battery, do not recommend.

I bought this battery for a family member's Dell XPS 15 9570 in order to upgrade the 56Wh battery it came with originally. Some initial observations I've done so far:- Installation process of the battery itself was easy, no complaints. Unscrewing the philips head screws under the XPS latch could be problematic however, since those strip quite easily.- While looping a YouTube video with battery saving features enabled, it shows around 10 hours remaining at 87% battery level, which is great.- It seems like the battery came pre-calibrated according to batteryreport which shows 97,000 mWh for both design and full charge capacity.Cannot comment on longevity yet since I only got to use the battery for less than a day. Will update the review in a few months.

Had capacity of around 69% (thought it would be 100% for a new battery...) and your laptop will die if you try to use the gpu on battery. After 7 months of use my laptop refuses the charge it saying that it is not authentic.

Battery works a bit better than I expected. Doesn't quite get to 8 hours, but goes 4-7 hours depending on usage. Happy with performance. Installation was a pain, but that has to do with the laptop, not the battery. Good price, and order fulfilled quickly.

the battery worked as advertised for 2 months, with the exception of it's maximum capacity being only 94 Wh when I installed it.I wasn't complaining then, but just yesterday a cell ruptured. Now it won't charge when I'm using my computer, and when it does have "a charge" it drains itself extremely fast. dell's batteries are also made in china though, so not sure what gives, possibly poorer quality control with these, some people might get lucky, I didn't.
