Screen Replacement for Samsung Galaxy S5 G900 i9600 G900A G900T G900V G900P LCD Glass Display Touch Digitizer Assembly Tools (Black)

I used this product to replace a broken screen on an S4 I had given to my son a while ago. I originally thought the product was defective after installing it and not seeing the display come on. However, there's a sticky back to the screen's ribbon cable that has to be applied to the back of the screen before installing it. I don't know why it doesn't just come already applied in the correct spot. Where I placed it was just a touch to high and that was enough to cause tension on the cable and apparently keep a wire or two from reaching the connector. I carefully took it back apart with a heat gun, peeled back the ribbon cable, and placed it at the right position. Before attaching the screen back to the housing I connected the ribbon cable alone and powered it with a battery to confirm that it *did* work. So be careful to lay that ribbon cable low enough to reach the connector on the motherboard. Check the placement before fully installing the screen. You can always (carefully) peel it back up and replace it.

Installed the screen about 4 weeks ago and it works great. it uses a glue adhesive which can be messy for novices like me, but it did create a strong bond. There are only 2 connectors for the screen which is simple enough. Removing the old screen and properly preparing the phone and screen for the new screen were challenging. I highly recommend this product/seller. It comes with everything you need for the DIY.

Got this screen replacement along with some other parts and my S5 looks new!! Great product and it was super easy to install. No errors with installation nor damage during delivery.

It's odd, the digitizer doesn't align to your touch, I'd you press f and c shows up. It'll drive you crazy. It's cheaper to get a refurbished s5 for $25 more and it's guaranteed

Worked perfect. Great product. Easy install. Does have the Samsung Logo.

Worked great for a few days, then just black screen. I had a tech friend do the screen swap for me so I didn't risk screwing it up. All went well for a few days then started randomly shutting off and coming back on....then never came on again. You could hear the start up sounds but just a blank screen. Tech friend took it back apart to see if the ribbon cable had come loose but all was secured. Just a $60 lemon. I delayed in returning though and missed the date so I have to buy another but will be doing so from some other seller.
