This product worked better than any other guard I've tried. Yes, it's a challenge to roll the two putties and form on your teeth in 8 seconds. I so wish it would increase to at least 20 to 30 seconds, but when it is formed and dried, it lasts for a very long time. It is easy to clean as opposed to paper type guards. But, what I do is roll one putty, then the other, then blend the two together. I use it to protect my bottom lip from playing woodwind reed instruments.  Braceguard BG Orthodontic Brace Guard Kit

This product was very hard to work with, from the very outset. It is very messy and soft. Does not go easily over your teeth to set for the molding process. Once it was set on your teeth, it doesn't come off easily and the product breaks very easily as you try to remove it. A TOTAL WASTE OF MY MONEY!!!

We have tried it one time so far and my son said it all broke apart in his mouth. Think it is better and certainly cheaper to stick with the old ortho wax.

This is a very effective product to use that can help a trumpet player with braces. However, this product is not a miracle worker, the wearer must readjust his/her embouchure, basically you still need to relearn the trumpet all over again.But do not be mistaken, this guard is a very useful tool, it does enhance a persons trumpet playing abilities. But as stated above this product will not get you back at the level that you are hoping for, however, over time it can be an extremely helpful tool.I would recommend this product to people with braces, it is very helpful and useful tool for a trumpet player with braces.

Is it hard at first to create, yes. Is there trial and error yes. Can you make mistakes yes.Does this product work, absolutely yes. Created properly, your child can hit highs like before the braces were put on. Buy a few, and after creating some brace guards(Once monthly) you will be an expert and your kid will excel.

Kid loves it. Easy to form, just follow the instructions it's not rocket science or brain surgery. My kid says it's way better than using the wax on the braces which end up breaking up in his mouth and getting caught in the braces, he hated that. But of course with our without this, if you have braces, you have to adjust your embouchure which he's been lazy about.

This just doesn't work at all. It is a disaster to try and actually make the mouthguard, because the two putties they give you have to be mixed together well, and you can't mix them quick enough o mold it to your teeth before it solidifies. All the ones that I tried to make partially solidified, and never fully mixed. If you are a brass player, I would suggest learning to play without pressure, and you will come out of your horrible braces experience as a better player. Another alternative if it still bothers you, is plastic strips that can be boiled and reshaped over and over again until you get it right. They also work a lot better once they are formed, and last a long time.

The putty is very hard to shape and work. We ended up ordering another product. But plain wax from the dentist is working great!.
