Molecular Biology of the Cell 5E: Reference Edition

Book got delivered with perfect packaging. I enquired the seller - Kolkata book center after placing the order about the dvd which was mentioned to be present with this edition. The seller responded soon stating that " there is no dvd with this edition it was present many years back with paperback edition ". I felt overwhelmed when opened the full book and inspected it. The dvd was attached at page no 974-975 of the book. It worked smoothly and great important contents were contained in the dvd. The binding and the quality of the colourful pages were awesome. I feel like as the book was sealed with extra packaging after the packaging of Amazon and the seller that even the seller couldn't figure out that it contains the dvd inside. Its better to analyse each page of the new book as soon as it gets delivered in order to avail for 10 days replacement only policy of Amazon in case of any problems and to ensure future happiness when study is started though its really a time consuming process especially when the pages are 1700+ but after inspecting carefully I am extremely happy to state that it contained all the pages in proper order. One of my best investments ever. Got it delivered beforehand too. Thanks to Amazon and to the father of cell biology Alberts et al.

Very heavy by both weight and content

Pros: -Up-to-Date information -One of the best books for Cell biology -Well-illustrated diagrams (all coloured) -Comes with a DVD of interactive animations -Hardbound - Received in perfect condition - Value for money (compared to the other options) Cons: - Very bulky (of more than 1400 pages) Suggestion: Book could have been bound in atleast two parts to make it easy to carry and refer.

All i can say in one line is "just go for it". The perfect refrence book for cell biology. The seller (Ebookstore) also provided a great packaging and brand new book with dvd.

Book is nice for biology students.

This is the most reference book for cell biology. Well description with details and nice diagrams. Cover all details about the chapter. My suggestion is that refere this book to know everything and to crack csir net.
