This is a great hoop, it helps you save on backing, loads into place well, and the templates are a great help. The cost is also so much better then the Brother 4x4. I am not sure they are identical in size and shape.I say that because I bought one from a different manufacturer and they are not the same as this one. So be very careful if you plan on using two different companies hoops for production like work.

I just received my Elipse 4-inch x 4-inch hoop for my new Brother PE 770...and it performed perfectly! I previously had a Brother PE 150 with the 4x4 embroidery area. This hoop is very easy to attach to the machine and is very sturdy. I would highly recommend this hoop, especially since the cost is considerably less than the Brother model.

This worked great in my PE770 Brother embroidery machine which came with a 5x7 hoop. it's great for smaller projects.

Great hoop for smaller embroidery projects! I use with my  Brother PE770 5x7 inch Embroidery-only machine with built-in memory, USB port, 6 lettering fonts and 136 built-in designs  machine to personalize handmade items. The two grid guides are soooooo helpful with centering projects. It's made of sturdy material and has always connected great with my machine, no issues.

Only hooped two items and the screw stripped. Sent it back.

I absolutely LOVE my Babylock embroidery sewing machine. However, the 2 embroidery hoops that came with it, sizes 5x7 & 5x12, have always been a bit tempermental as far a being seated properly when I attach them to the embroidery unit. I am THRILLED that this smaller 4x4 hoop from Elipse is the easiest of all. I have not had a single moment struggling to get it seated fully. It simply sits down like an obedient little thing, solidly in place. Completely trouble free. I wish my original larger hoops were also by Elispe. I will definitely buy from this company again should I ever have to replace either of my originals. Many thanks.

I got this hoop because my machine came with a 130mm by 180m, and not a 100mm by 100mm hoop. This made it a lot easier to do small things compared to the large hoop. It is just as sturdy as the 100mm by 100mm Brother hoop. I haven't had a problem with it and my PE-770 machine. The only thing that could be better is that the placement grids and the hoop are not the exact same size as the brother hoop. That means I can't use the placement grids interchangeably. This is a non-issue, but it would be much nicer if I didn't have to keep track of 2 sets of placement grids.

These are great hoops which are just like my original hoops. This set comes with a green and purple grid. Use the purple one for the PE 770. Also make sure the arrow on the inner hoop is matched with the arrow on the outer hoop
