After 6 years of use our new high efficiency dishwasher started to smell a little off. Over a period of months I made several attempts to eliminate the smell, all to no avail, while the smell got worse. Finally I searched online for a solution, read reviews of a few products, chose this one -- and it worked first time!I followed the instructions. After the first use the dishwasher had no particular smell and the vast majority of the mineral buildup on the stainless steel interior of my dishwasher was gone. I left it closed and unused for a few days, opened it again, and still no smell. So I judge the problem is solved for now.Given that five bottles of this stuff came in a set, if I don't need another bottle for another six years I may be set for life ;-).

Once the wax melts it's cleans great. Sometimes the wax plug doesn't melt completely. The second bottle I had to dislodge the wax a bit to get the cleaner to come out. I placed it so it wasn't obstructed by the dish rack. Must be used with high temperature for the wax plug to melt. I would purchase again.

This was recommended to me by a repairman who came to my home to look at my misbehaving dishwasher. I had been using vinegar in an empty machine to clean and freshen it, but this seems to do a better job of it. Am not too pleased about how much more expensive using this product is as compared to just plain vinegar.

My dishwasher is seven years old; it usually does a great job on the dishes. It started leaving sprays of fine particles crusted onto the dishes - not stuff it didn't clean off, but stuff that it sprayed back onto the dishes.Two rounds of this cleaner fixed it, and a cartridge every month maintained it (I used one as soon as symptoms re-appeared). After about six months, we have been able to drop done to roughly bi-monthly treatments.The downside is that it's expensive, and I'm sure that it's dumping nasty chemicals into the system.

Does exactly what it is supposed to do... clean the dishwasher. We try to do this once every month or two, depending on how much action our dishwasher sees.

This is my favorite dishwasher de-calcifier. It has a wax plug in it which requires melting rom hot water before the solution pours out - this means you won't waste all the stuff in the preliminary rinse phase. It fits perfectly into my Bosch silverware container and when it's done, just drop the bottle in the recycler. One bottle has cleared out my dishwasher every time.

Makes the dishwasher smell great bubt more importantly clears away the things you don't even realize might be causing problems with the dishwasher's effectiveness. Recommended to me by a service technician and I will use them once a month "as prescribed"

Great stuff! Cleaned up an old stinky dishwasher in an old house. I'll use it periodically to keep the dishwasher clean. I also add about 1/4 cup of citric acid to every wash load.
