Set 3 got 3! Excellent!
Bought a 4 pack yesterday they arrived at 5pm today! Put all 4 out, with peanut butter pushed into the pot, It's now 10pm and 3 have done exactly as intended! 2 where instant, 1 took about 5 seconds to 'work' So far these are young pests not sure if the will work for larger pests. We have a cage trap for those but these 'pests' where just running through the bars. So far 1 trap has done 2 after a quick hose down, So they are clearly sturdy, easy to clean, easy to set, and the red bar means you can spot them easily for safety. Fast and effective! No pictures as the look exacly like the listing!

Value for money traps
Good traps but was unsuccessful in catching our rat but success with mice, good quality but small clip trigger may not last. Good value for the money, I got a voucher price so happy and would recommend.

Highly Effective and Well-Designed Rat Traps
The ROSHIELD Rat Traps are impressively large and sturdy devices, designed to handle even the most persistent rats. Measuring approximately 6.7 x 3.3 x 3 inches, these traps are built for heavy-duty pest control, and their professional quality is evident from the moment you set them up. What stands out is their ease of use. The traps are simple to set and reset, and the spring mechanism is powerful, delivering a satisfying snap when triggered. Baiting them with peanut butter works like a charm, making them highly effective at attracting and dealing with rodents quickly and efficiently. The traps are reusable, which adds to their value, and the design allows for safe disposal of captured pests without the need for direct contact. The heavy-duty construction ensures durability, so they can be relied upon for ongoing pest control. If you’re dealing with a rat problem, these traps are a reliable and efficient solution. Their solid build, effective design, and ease of use make them an excellent choice for anyone needing to tackle rodents. Just be prepared—they’re not subtle, but they get the job done.

Fatally flawed... making them non-fatal.
I bought a pack of four of these traps, hoping to control the rats that are active in my outbuildings. The traps are well made and have a strong spring and kill bar. However, as other reviews have pointed out, they are too light as standard and a rodent activating the trap is more likely to send it spinning from the force of the spring. To stop the traps flipping over when activated, I've screwed them to a piece of wood as suggested by one review. However, even with this modification I have found the traps empty of bait and not triggered. I was wracking my brains as to how this could happen, because the platforms are sensitive enough to activate the trap with the slightest of pressure. Then, while actually observing a rat interact with the trap, I realised why. If a rat steps on the front of the trap where the trigger is, it will activate. However, rats are very intelligent and have quickly figured out to approach the bait from the back of the trap, where they can safely eat the bait without setting it off. And in the even they do trigger the trap, their heads are clear of the kill bar and they get away safely. The only option seems to be to use the black plastic trap boxes that are available as an accessory, which would prevent the rodents from approaching the back of the trap. Either that, or change to a different designed trap that doesn't have this flaw.

Designed for the larger, more mature, rat.
We live in the country and are surrounded on all sides by fields, some of which are given over to the raising of pheasants and partridges so rats are, unfortunately, a part of our everyday lives. These traps were purchased as a more direct/immediate approach to what would appear to be a quite sizeable infestation underneath our summer house. I’d seen evidence of our problem by way of tunnels and displaced soil by the edges of a shed attached to the summer house and heard some rat activity underneath whilst sitting in the building. We’d also seen quite large rats moving around nearer the house. I ordered 4 traps which arrived in a timely manner. They were set in the areas of perceived activity, 2 were baited with chocolate spread and 2 with peanut butter. Over a period of 4 days ive had to reset various traps approximately 20 times. Of these ‘activations’ 4 have provided a result. The others have produced no kill although frequently the bait has disappeared. I have also had to replenish the bait in traps which hadn’t activated approximately 15 times. In short, the traps aren’t activating when the bait is being taken. I have noticed that each of the 4 kills have been rather small rats. Not quite ‘baby’ rats but very small juveniles. No adults. It occurs to me that the smaller rat is of insufficient weight to activate the trap. I’m going to change the bait in the hope this will draw out the adults but I’m not confident. My opinion is that these traps are excellent at dispatching the larger rat but much less efficient where small rats are concerned.
