Sushi Magic Sushi Rolls Maker and Sushi Handbook

There is a bit of a learning curve with this and it is definitely a bit annoying trying to work this out at first. However, once you get it down it's fairly easy and super easy to clean. I have gotten extremely used to rolling my sushi by hand though without any mats. I may just stick with that and leave this to my husband so he can make me sushi. Especially since this makes it so he actually can help me make sushi. It's quick and simple. You just place your nori on the mat and fill it halfway on one side with rice and toppings and then roll it up. Couldn't be easier. My friends love it when I make them sushi and I never tell them how easy it was for me. Gotta have something to impress them with.

I've never made sushi rolls and this makes it easy. I watched the online video, read the instructions, and first roll was messy - because I rolled it in the wrong direction. After I realized my mistake, it was great. The first 2 rolls came out a little square, but on all 3 I made, I rolled them up in saran and put them in the fridge a short while to make them "solid" and they came out perfect. Using the cutting technique on the video worked perfectly. The little thing is great! When you first see the finished roll, you think it's very small, but when you cut and plate it, you realize it's perfect. Warning, be careful not to overload your roll, gets messy when stuff oozes out. Common mistake. This is a great tool.

This works pretty well, but not much easier than wax paper. I find the very end part of the roll difficult to finish off, but I think it will just take some practice. I love how easy it is to wash and it makes me feel better than wasting wax paper or saran wrap for every roll.

My wife got one. At first I thought it was a total gimmick and that there was no reason to have this over the standard bamboo mat. Well, not only can I pull this apart, wash it, and reuse it for what seems an infinite amount... it actually does make it easier to roll. Also, making a roll with the rice on the outside is much neater than with a standard mat. We only had one for a while and used it alongside the bamboo mats... now we have two.

I used this tool the 1st time I made a sushi roll and it came out just like the pictures. Read the instructions and watch the video tutorial a few times before you make your first attempt at making a sushi roll.

This product did exactly what it is supposed to do but it took me a few rolls to get the procedure down.

I like this. Easy to use, cleaning is awkward. But it makes Sushi quick and easy.
