A Mild-Tasting Miracle for Breastfeeding Mums
The Overview:After experiencing a stressful event that affected my milk supply, I turned to Brewer's Yeast Powder for Lactation Support, which is marketed as mild-tasting and debittered. Here's how it worked for me:The Good:Effective Milk Supply Increase: Within just a few days of adding a spoonful to my morning decaf coffee, I noticed a significant improvement in my milk supply. It worked perfectly for my needs.Nutritional Benefits: I had blood work done which showed exceptionally high levels of Vitamin B, likely thanks to this supplement. This was an unexpected but welcome bonus.Taste and Texture: While there is a slight flavor and texture change to my coffee, it wasn't bothersome enough to detract from its benefits. The debittered version truly makes it more palatable.Longevity and Value: One container lasted me around 3-4 months with daily use, making it not only effective but also economical. I've reordered it due to its positive impact. The Not-So-Good:Slight Taste Alteration: If you're very sensitive to changes in taste, you might notice the yeast's influence on your beverage. However, I found it quite manageable.Overall:This Brewer's Yeast Powder has been a lifesaver for me in maintaining and boosting my milk supply post-stress. Everyone is different - but it worked for me!
The taste is very subtle and I don’t mind it one bit! I started using it about 4.5 months post partum when I felt like I was having a dip in my supply. After just a couple days, I noticed an increase in my supply.I mix a tablespoon or so into my yogurt in the morning and eat with some fruit and granola. If I use it in the evening, I stir it into a little spoonful of icecream (it changes the texture some, but it’s not bad!).Of course, everyone is going to see different results, especially because every Mama has their own baseline supply.. but for the price, it’s definitely worth giving a try!

Great improvement in milk production
I normally produce 1 or 2 ounces. After a week of taking the brewers yeast I have noticed a significant increase in my production. I also feel engorged in shorter timer periods compared to without it. It really doesn’t smell bad or taste terrible but it does have a very distinct rich taste. I waited a little bit to post a review this to see how it might affect my little girl. She didn’t seem gassy at all but I did see a lot of throwing up. (She had been having very mild reflux issues before) Not sure if the yeast made it worse. Overall I would buy this again, as a just enougher, I have managed to build up a bit of a freezer stash in just the one week.

Smells and tastes of yeast
I believe this is a great option if you are looking for brewers yeast. It’s not too expensive like other brands. I will say that even though this was “unflavored” I could taste it and I did not enjoy the taste it brought to the brownies I made. I’ll have to see if changing the amount of it would result in a better outcome. Overall I would recommend.

Yeast-tastic!
The media could not be loaded. New Mom of twins here and with that came a short supply of milk. I have been trying various things to try and get milk flowing so I tried this powder and it’s like the flood gates finally broke and I have two happy babies.I made scrumptious oatmeal chocolate chip cookies with the powder first. It’s very simple to do, you just choose your favorite cookie mix and then blend the powder in with the other dry ingredients. It did not alter the taste of my cookies at all which was great. I noticed a change in my milk supply within 36 hours. If you would like to try my cookies, here’s how I made them:6 tablespoons of Brewers Yeast Powder2 cups flour1 tsp salt1 tsp baking soda1 tsp cinnamon2 tbsp flaxseed meal4 tbsp water1 cup unsalted butter¾ cup brown sugar¾ cup white sugar2 eggs1 tsp vanilla extract3 cup old fashioned oatmeal1 ½ cup chocolate chips1. Mix your flaxseed and water and set to the side for 3 minutes.2. Blend brewers yeast, flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt using a sifter.3. In a separate large bowl mix together butter and sugars, then add your eggs in one at a time.4. Stir in your flaxseed mix with vanilla extract and blend well.5. Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture.6. Add oatmeal, chocolate chips and if you wish a ½ cup of nuts into your mixture.7. Place into fridge for an hour.8. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes9. Enjoy your yummy cookies! You can freeze your left overs and bake anytime you’re ready! I froze mine for a week and they tasted just like I baked them the first time! The second time I tried the powder was the following morning in my morning shake. I used oat milk, various berries, 2 tablespoons of the brewers yeast powder and ice. I’ve noticed the more acidity I use, the greater the sourness grows. I recommend sticking to more dairy like ingredients to balance the flavors out. Even with the fruit, it wasn’t an unbearable taste by any means.I recommend this to any new Moms who need a milk supply boost because it did work for me personally. Also keep in mind staying hydrated helps milk flow significantly. This powder works its magic best when you’re hydrated!
