Calamity Jane Lotion - Clove, Orange, Cinnamon & Whiskey Scent - Natural Lotion for Men and Women - By Outlaw

So first off, I wholeheartedly support small businesses. And this one is no different. I was super excited to receive this over the holiday season.The lotion has exceptional coverage - a little definitely goes a long way! The scent is much more subtle than I expected given the way it's advertised. Ok, I get that. Not everyone wants a strong scent. My biggest disappointment is the packaging. I press the plunger and instead of coming out the nozzle, the lotion comes out all over the stem. It turns what should be a simple pump of lotion into a great big mess, which is a serious turn off when I want to use some.***UPDATE: The bottle I mentioned above was, apparently, anomalous as a representative of their product. Outlaw Soaps absolutely stepped in and stepped up. And great customer service will ***ALWAYS*** keep me coming back. I tried their "Home on the Range" and not only was the batch of lotion smoother, so was the packaging. The scent is, again, light, but lovely. My skin feels amazing, which is rare for me and lotions.Highly recommend this company for all the reasons you can think of

This hand lotion is THE BOMB. It was a little pricey, but I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did. My hands are chronically dry, and after using this just once I'm in love. It left my hands feeling smooth but with NO greasy residue. But the scent... the heavenly scent. OH MY GOD! It is incredible. Clove, orange, cinnamon... I can't stop smelling my hands! I'm hooked - this is a treat that was SO worth it!As a side note, the packaging is great too - heavy, opaque container, and the pump feels well made.

The scent is not bad by all means, but it is intense and smells super sweet like red hot candy. Too sweet/cinammony for my liking, I was hoping it would have been a little more earthy/spice than sweet cinnamon.Pros: She Thick. The pump works fantastic. I’ve had many lotion pumps where the product gets stuck in it or the pump won’t easily dispense 2 pumps quickly. It is super hydrating which I do love.Cons: It is very oily. I’m assuming perhaps the sweet almond oil in it. It takes a very long time to dry down. I can only use this at bedtime. I love it for after showers as well to really lock in moisture, but not a fan that I can’t dress quickly after or wear During the day with how oily it is. It does leave a nice sheen from the oil, but again it doesn’t dry down well and it smears onto anything you’re sitting on.I would love to see more women scents in this line. My husband loves the Mens range. I don’t like that this is really the one woman scented one and again it’s just too sweet of a scent. Even my husband commented on how potent the scent was and it made us a little nauseated.Overall a very hydrating lotion, and again we love the brand, but just some things we would prefer to see in the line of lotions.

Literally all of the scents I’m currently obsessed with including spicy clove, cinnamon and orange! This lotion is clean (as in ingredients) and smells like a smoky, vintage country bar with a touch of sweet vanilla. That’s actually the reason I bought it – to repel mosquitos. I read somewhere that insects hate cinnamon so I’m slathering this delicious lotion all over my exposed parts, which leaves my skin soft and supple. Even if it doesn’t help with that, I absolutely love the scent and plan to buy a few more as gifts for my *spicy* besties.

My skin really suffers in winter and starts to resemble that of an old elephant if I don't apply lotion regularly but I'm very particular about scents and texture so have a hard time finding a lotion I'm willing to use. Thankfully, Outlaw Soaps have come to the rescue. I'm already a fan of their soaps and have tried multiple scents without ever running across a dud so figured if anyone could come up with a lotion I'd use, it'd be them. Calamity Jane might be the perfect scent- it smells like Christmas in an Old West gold mining town. Seasonal but without being sweet. I was a bit concerned about the whiskey element since I wanted to be sensitive to the sober folks in my life but it really doesn't smell like a bottle of booze- there's just an extra something mixed in with the spice that makes for a wonderful scent. As far as the lotion aspect goes, it rubs in quickly without feeling oily or waxy and alleviates my winter dryness. Packaging is cute, as expected, and I appreciate that OS products are cruelty free. The only thing I might do differently in the future is order from the Outlaw Soaps website directly since I'd happily pay shipping out of my own pocket rather than see a small business lose (I assume) a chunk of the sale price to Amazon.

The lotion itself it nice! It’s super thick and moisturizing! Unfortunately I was beyond disappointed with this particular scent because clove, orange, and cinnamon have a very distinct smell to them and this lotion smells nothing like clove or orange really. Will definitely use because the quality is great and the smell is still good just not what I was expecting!

This is my new forever lotion. When you first apply it you smell warm cinnamon and cloves and the sweetness from the orange. It goes on and absorbs and leaves NO GREASY RESIDUE. The scent is long lasting and mellows into a DEFINITE whiskey scent in the best way...warm and slightly smoky and oakey with plenty of heated cinnamon and a hint of clove. Its perfect for the fall season but ill be using it year round because I love it. Not too much musk or too much sweet or floral. Just a hint of sweet orange w sexy heated cinnamon whiskey.
