The item I received does not match the description
There are a couple of 30 miles 12v Parmak energizers on Amazon and I ordered this one in particular because of the rotary switch such I can turn it off when I m around the fence without having to open the battery box and connectors in there. The unit I received does not have the switch, looks different altogether than the picture

MY EXPERIENCE YOU MAY DO BETTER
If you want a unit that last about 3 years then breaks, then have it repaired at $55 plus another $20 x2 shipping = $95 then this is the unit for you. The customer service stands their ground on charging you and justifies their self righteous position. They say all brand units have issues. So, I would be foolish to buy another one of theirs when I can get a NEW UNIT of ANOTHER BRAND for less than THEIR REPAIR CHARGES FOR THIS OLD UNIT.I'm not happy.

Works good after 11 years
Keeps the neighbors cows out (off the fence) for 11 years.Running it on solar power. Very low current draw.1400 feet of fence..I added lightning arrester.
