The cup is not pure bamboo, there needs to be some type of resin/glue hold the bamboo together. The seller did not answer my question of what resin they use, but to the best of my research, I believe all reusable bamboo coffee cups use a resin made of formaldehyde and melamine. The seller says they don't use melamine, but do not disclose what type of resin is used.By just saying "bamboo" and not listing the resin anywhere, this is at best dishonest marketing/greenwashing, and at worst unsafe. Google "bamboo coffee cups resin" and you'll find articles about this type of resin leaching into your drink at hot temperatures.

I loved this this cup SO much! I bought one for me and my wife. We had them for about 2-3 months and kept them in great condition. I once accidentally dropped one of the cups from about 3-4 feet of the ground and it shattered like an egg shell. I was so devastated and just moved on. A month later I was helping my wife take things out of her car and again her cup accidentally fell out of the car and cracked like humpty dumpty. I know I shouldn't blame the cups for my clumsiness but for a re-usable to-go cup I would expect a little more durability. I do recommend buying these cups just as long as you treat them like fine glass.

I bought these cups for a trip to Europe but haven’t used them yet. BUT! They appear to be perfect size, perfect weight and just overall a great decision. You get the cup, a top, two different cup protectors and a small bag to carry it in. Now that is a great product to me.

This cup has a great design and functions well. Unfortunately the silicone lid has a very pronounced smell and taste that apparently does not wash off. I have tried scrubbing and soaking it in various ways in various types of cleaners and nothing has dissipated the horrible chemical smell and taste. It pretty much ruins the pleasure of drinking coffee because every sip is clouded by the aftertaste and smell of the silicone. It is really disgusting.

After smashing two ceramic cups, I decided to give this a go. It is definitely a better choice than ceramic because it's super light; I am finding it much easier to take it everywhere with me in case I need a coffee. It also comes with a little carrying pouch that you can easily tie to your purse if it doesn't fit inside.I also dropped it on the floor on it's very first day and it did not break! (It probably sounds like I'm incredibly clumsy, but I just live in a tiny apartment where everything gets knocked over.). It also does not leak from the top when you tilt the cup. I sat it on grass and it fell on it's side and did not leak.If the drink inside it super super hot then you will probably need both the sleeves to protect your hands. For me this is not a big deal. I love the fact that it is a zero waste item and I feel good about using it.

I really enjoy this coffee cup! Love the teal and grey option for the cup sleeve. Very simple yet enjoyable. Keeps my coffee warm.

I really love this reusable cup: biodegradable, reusable, light-weight and just the right size for the regular coffee, espresso, cappuccino or small latte drinker. I have already bought two for myself but would also buy it as a present. I take it with me in my bag always, which is really easy because it's so light. Bamboo makes it more environmentally and health conscious. The packaging and the handy silicon top and extra sleeve make this a really great deal. It is also a really nice present because of the nice packaging with extra accessories like the extra sleeve and the linen protection bag that come with it.

I love this cup. Its substantial, lightweight and very user friendly. I removed one star bc the flap that seals it kept coming off and eventually got lost :( Now I can't close the cup and its not very useful. Would be better if this did not come off at all
