This is one of those a-line gowns that will look good on most everyone and hides imperfections in a less than perfect figure, especially the belly and thighs because of the looser fit and tufts of stretch fabric. A straight, inverted triangle or pear shape figure will shine in this dress. Modest ladies with hour glass figures will too. If you are concerned the stretch fabric will look cheap, the sheer fabric over the stretch poly camouflages well and upgrades the appearance. There is a built in bra in the form of foam without underwire that runs almost the whole width of the gown, gently rounding on the sides. It will accommodate most bust sizes comfortably because it supports underneath and cushions the front and the material of the gown stretches. At 38C there is ample room for a larger bust or ample shape for a smaller bust. Really ingenious. The beading on the gown is beautiful and seems to be sewn well. To the untrained eye in a dim room, the color will appear black as the navy is a very deep, rich color which elevates the elegance. The sheer fabric and beading are all very comfortable as well as the entire dress. At 5 foot 9-1/2" the gown hovered ever so slightly above the floor. Fancy flats will be fine at that height. The gown did arrive folded up into a 12 x 15 plastic bag and voila, when unfolded, not even a crease! If you are traveling for an event, this is the ideal gown.

Purchased this dress for my son’s upcoming wedding . It’s beautiful, well made and flattering, but it is really long!! I’m almost 5’7” and I’ll have to have it hemmed, which will probably cost as much as the dress. I tried a petite, and that was too short, so consider the length if you buy Alex Evenings gowns. The navy is a very dark navy, but will be good for a fall wedding.

Beautiful dress. Fit perfectly and very elegant. I did not wear and returned because it was extremely long for me (I’m 5’5”) so I had to return it.

Purchased a few gowns and they were either way too big or small or not as pictured. I decided to go with Amazon's "Try before You Buy" for a wedding in October. I also needed something shipped ASAP to allow time for any needed alterations. I ordered 3 gowns, and after trying on the first two, was disappointed in the way the looked and fit, I almost gave up on even trying this one on. As soon as I did, I was amazed at not only the quality of this gown, but how it fit compared to the others. It's very forgiving in areas a woman might want to hide and gives a slim look. It's absolutely stunning and you can't beat the price from Amazon, as other stores sell this same designer gown for double the price! I will need some minor alterations done like the hem, but that is to be expected for me as I'm 53", but I couldn't be more thrilled with this gown!

The dress fit well and looked nice but the beading on the arm was already coming off before the wedding ever started.

The dress was perfect. To provide some scale (because knowing the dress size without some idea of my size & shape is pretty useless to you) I'm 5'2" and 135 lb and I have a 29.5" inseam my bra size is 36DD and I wore 3" heels and the dress fit perfect with zero alterations. I wore a size 8 petite. The skirt lining brushed the top on my toes with the shoes on and the overlay just skimmed the floor. The only time I needed to lift the skirt was when going up stairs, otherwise I walked normally with no catches, trips, or steps on the skirt. I'm 49 years old and have had a couple of kids so the the fact that the fit was so perfect I didn't require any shapewear or bra was impressive. I wore the dress to a formal wedding. I was comfortable for the 9 hours I had it on and had no problems at all dancing the night away. I received compliments all night and felt not only beautiful in the dress but extremely comfortable as well. I would without a doubt recommend this dress and would definitely buy it again. PS: I did try on a regular size in store first and although it looked ok & would have worked with alterations the petite size hit all the right places... I would suggest a petite size for anyone under 5'4".... Oh, and if you're on the fence with the beading like I was... don't sweat it. The beading is very tasteful and is soooooo much prettier in person than any stock or actual photos that I've been able to find.

Beautiful dress perfect for the summer spring for mother of the bride/groom. Petite fit perfectly did not need it hemmed. I am 5'1". Would have kept it but went with a heavier dress for Feb. Wedding.

Very disappointed, received the dark blue dress that someone had previously worn. Smelled of perfume and front of dress has water staining marks. My first clue should have been the clear plastic package it came in, no regards to delicate fabric inside. Then discovered no tags on dress and no packing slip included . Makes you wonder how this passed any sort of inspection process right through to the shipping . Clearly I am on the receiving end of someone who purchased this dress , wore it then returned it . Ugh 🤦‍♀️
