Finally got me a LEFT HANDED circular saw
Hello Amazon shoppers, I finally bit the bullet and bought this saw. It's been in my wish list for a while but I couldn't justify buying it while my other saw was still working. I am a left-handed person who was sick of getting sawdust blown in my face from my right handed saw but I wss too tight to buy this one. My old one packed in so I purchased this one and the price was right. It's a good little trim saw which uses the 18v batteries from Bosch. It will also use the wireless batteries from Bosch but you lose about 10mm off the cutting capacity. So on a trim saw which has a limited amount of cutting depth that can be the difference between being able to use it or not. Cutting plywood, MDF, sheet material not a problem. The same with dimensional timber just watch the battery life as it tends to bog down when you get to one bar. This saw is not for everyone and there is a right handed saw available to buy in the range. However for me i am very pleased with the saw and very pleased not to have sawdust in my face every cut. Cheers Joe

Magic little machine
I have a lot of Bosch stuff and love it. This saw has more grunt than I expected and is easy to keep straight even without a guide. The speed is slower than the bigger saws, so it's not as fast to cut, but this is obviously due to the gearing needed to get the torque, which absolutely fine. I love the smaller depth of cut, lightness, and ease of handling for cutting boards compared to my larger 18v saw, which by comparison now feels like overkill, and the wrong tool for most board cutting jobs. I've done a couple of floors with this saw now, and a few other jobs, it chews through 19mm ply easily enough (if kept straight. I boarded a loft with it last year, including cutting various packing pieces, and didn't use my 18V saw at all - a hand saw proved just as easy as the 18V saw for the odd piece that was too thick for this saw. Re battery life, this is always a bit subjective, but I use 2.5 and 3.0AH batteries, the ones larger than this are the bigger form factor which I don't like, and i find 2 batteries is fine - one to charge whilst using the other more than keeps up with the rate I can cut and fit.

Don’t even hesitate......buy it now you’ll not regret it.
I bought this to replace a corded saw which always felt out of control. This saw has a brake which my last saw didn’t have and is left handed which allows me to see where I’m cutting (last saw was right handed and awkward to follow a line). To be honest I have felt like a professional since the first cut, I am in total control and the brake is fantastic. As for battery life I layer a deck (6x4m) and the battery (4Ah)was still on 3 leds and the blade was as good as new. Having taken advice from another review I bought a matika 160mm 40 teeth and thr finished cut was perfect, the supplied blade was good but left a rougher finish. I’d recommend this saw to anyone replacing their old saw I only wish I’d thrown away my old saw years ago.

Eats Battery
In itself this product is good, you get the circular saw, the l-boxx, a blade and the necessary tool to adjust and swap blades. You will need some meaty batteries to use this for all but the smallest of projects. I am not a profesional user of this type of power tool, but as I had recieved as a Gift a Bosch drill and Impact driver in the past and found them very reliable. As my need for a circular saw is occasional, but invariably in a location where mains power is a problem I thought I would add this product to the set and initially use the batteries from my existing products! My first task with this was to cut a 3.9m scaffold board in half along its length, this flattened both the 1.5Ah batteries supplied with my other tools, so I would suggest anyone who does not already have them to get at least a couple of 5ah batteries to go with this saw if you wish to use it for any serious work

Goes through oak like butter but bin the supplied fence as soon as you pick it up.
Well made, great performance from a 4ah battery but.....scrap the supplied fence - shame on you Bosch for having the cheek to put this with your 'professional' series. Really poor and let's the side down on what is a great price of cordless kit. Goes through oak like butter.

A portable knife through butter
Purchased for a garden project but I suspect I’ll find some more reasons to use it. I didn’t want a corded version and I already had a Bosch 18v Pro drill so it made sense to go for this machine. There are a few versions that are similar but this one is a little more powerful (no load speed) and has the slot in the base for a guide rail. It’s also from the current model range, replacing the GSK 18v-57. Overall I’m really impressed with this saw, it’s done everything I’ve asked of it so far without complaining. It does slow a little on think cuts but goes through sheet stock like a portable knife through butter. Get one! It’s worth noting that this is technically a left hand saw (blade on the left) but as I’ve only ever use saws in this config it’s not a problem for me. It means that if you are right handed your right hand will be on the main grip (pulling the trigger) and your left will be over the top of the blade on the auxiliary handle.

A Cut Above
Having previously owned circular saws which were fiddly and frankly dangerous to use, I finally decided to get this one as I had a job which needed it. I've got other Bosch 18v tools so I didn't need to get the battery with it, which saved a fair bit of money. I did opt for the LBOXX case though. This was a good idea as it keeps the saw from getting damaged in the workshop. The LBOXX also clicks into my other LBOXX's - there's tidy! The saw is light and powerful - even when cutting through 18mm hardwood ply at an angle. There's also the advantage that you don't have a cable dangling which could get accidentally cut or snag. I'd thoroughly recommend this saw - five stars!
