R Scarrys Best Story Book Ever

This book is a real encyclopedia for small kids. Exept beautiful and touching stories its loaded with great amount of infomation children need to learn as letters, numbers, colors, tipes of buildings, vehicles, days of the week, year, body parts, plants etc... and I cant agree with previos review. Ther are some rhymes pages, but they are original Mother Goose full lenth rhymes, some of them you didnt even know or new its abriged version. No need to say that Scarry's illustrations are unbeatable. Me and my almost 4 years old daughter just love this book. It was in my wish list since 1 year due to high price, but got it recently just for Rs 600 thanks to Amazon. Dont hesitate to get this treasure for your little one. It will go well from age of 2 I think.

This was one of my favorite books while growing up. It captures the imagination and does not let go...!Amazing graphics, great attention to details, wonderful characterizations and spectacular artwork- all come together to create a magical experience for your toddler. Awesome book. Highly recommended!!

I really have a mixed feeling for this book! It is not the usual Richard Scarry for sure, not only because there are stories included by other authors as well but also the way stories are written, with long winding sentences which does not appeal so much to children..Also, a number of pages are filled with rhymes and just illustrations though they are very beautiful and eye catching!Still, my kid likes this book, she likes to read and reread some of the stories, though complains why no Huckle cat here! So it is not a complete waste of money. But given a choice, I would rather go for another Richard Story book which has got only his work!

Wonderful book for kids. They spend hours pouring over the book. Helps learn spellings as well.

Must Buy. Till date the best storybook collection I have come across. So many stories in one book. Richard Scarry illustrations are lovely

I will not recommend buying this book at all. Instead of original material by the author, most of the pages are filled up with standard Nursery Rhymes etc which are cheaply available, better and more pertinently illustrated. Buying this book means paying a lot of money for what should really be original material, but is common non-copyrighted material like "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", etc.ANOTHER very important thing to be careful about (something I learned to my cost) is that since this book is not Amazon Fulfilled, the right of refusal to deny returns exists with the vendor, so you can be stuck with this or any similar purchase. Amazon simply washes its hands off any such deal and states that any returns are as per seller policy, which one has to contact the seller for. It is a harrowing experience and even if you succeed in getting consent for a return, all the costs and responsibility for the same are on the customers head.This purchase was my eye opener with regard to buying and dealing from Amazon. I will be extremely circumspect in future and will opt for other websites, if the option exists.

I didn’t like this as all and my son wasn’t particularly thrilled either. I don’t recommend this book, chose something more current.

Superbe livre! Les illustrations vintage sont vraiment belles. Il est vraiment épais, on y trouve pleins de jolies petites histoires mais aussi des pages pour apprendre du vocabulaire sur divers thèmes ( pièces de la maison, les couleurs, les chiffres, les jouets...)

E' un libro davvero ben fatto in stile retrò con tantissime illustrazioni e pieno zeppo di paroline da imparare, chiaramente in inglese. Inoltre all'interno del libro ci sono tante favole per bambini che, ovviamente, seguono il percorso didattico del libro. Sicuramente è un ottimo volume da tenere in considerazione per insegnare ai propri bambini l'inglese in modo facile e divertente, con personaggi, colori e favole che sicuramente cattureranno la loro attenzione.

My son loved reading this book and looking at the different illustrations. It's one of the better bedtime storybooks i bought so far..
