Pretty good
Love this lens hood except the black matte paint on the edge all chipped off. Not the inside but the outer edge. Someone else posted a pic of this. Mine did the same thing.

Metal hood with silver paint works great
I'm using this hood on an Olympus M.Zuiko 17mm f1.8 (Silver) for Olympus and Panasonic Micro 4/3 Cameras and it works perfectly and does not vignette. The threads are reasonably smooth and screws on and off without a hitch. The interior of the hood is painted with flat black paint to help nix reflections, albeit you could glue on rayon flocking if you wanted to go hog wild.I received a metal hood--not plastic--exactly as depicted in the product photo. However it is not "chrome" per the item description but finished with ordinary silver paint. For six bucks, this is an amazing deal and an effective and well fitting hood.

Scatches easily
I haven't even used it yet, the paint fell off by simply putting in the included lens cap. I gently used my fingernail to see if the black paint would come off easily and it did. I'll have to paint the inside myself which I shouldn't have to.I'm guessing the silver paint will fail in no time too.

Great price for this lens hood
Great price for this lens hood. but its often screw too tight (I had a UV filter) and hard to take out.

Exactly as described
Was concerned by previous reviewer who got a plastic hood, but mine was exactly as described. Metal is perhaps a bit too light and may be easy to deform, but I try not to drop my lenses anyway. :) Lighter than an older metal hood I had been using, too.

Looks great and fits well.

oh no!
Hood was totally unvented and made of plastic, I sent it back and am waiting for a refund. This hood design would have been so great for my G system, too.
