Ahnu Women's Montara III Boot Event Hiking, Blue Spell, 9 Medium US

I first found Ahnu boots several years ago while planning a trip to Colombia. With only a week or two before my trip, I needed boots that I didn't need to break in prior to leaving. Most boots I tried on were not terribly comfortable and I could tell I'd get some blisters breaking them in. The Ahnu were so comfortable and I couldn't feel any spots that would create blisters. Sure enough, I walked all over in city and on trails and never got a single blister. I loved my Ahnus.When I heard Teva bought the brand I was worried but I figured I'd give this new design a try. I just received the new shoes and tried them on. INSTANTLY I felt hot spots on my feet, just from walking around my house. This is completely different from my first experience trying on my first pair of Ahnus.While I suppose I could TRY these for a month or two to see if they maybe would work after I break them in, I'm not particularly interested in suffering through. I'm bummed that Teva has decided to change what made this brand great.Fortunately, I was able to find a pair of the old design in my size online. Hopefully I can make these last for a while, and I'll look for a new brand once these new "old model" ahnus wear out.Teva, take a hint from your customers and bring the brand you've bought back to why you bought it. Don't destroy it.

Not quite as good as my first pair of WOMANS Montera boots but better than nothing! After wearing my first pair for five years ( not worn out at all yet) I realized I better get another before they quit making them. Too late! I’m 71. The hips are going and I have neuropathy in my feet! Still I climbed Angels Landing in Zion wearing my old ones! They support my feet and body! We will see about the new ones. They didn’t feel like part of me the second I put them on like the originals did but I’m going to try various inserts and give them a shot. I love the color ,blue, and they are cute for a boot 🥾 I HATE that they say women’s while shopping then men’s when purchasing. Took me weeks to buy them because of that. Clarity is very important to online shopping! Either fix it or explain it!

I purchased a pair of Ahnus 4 years ago in May of 2015. They were rock stars. Wore them hiking up the Rockies, volcanoes in Australia, miles and miles of flat land hiking and years of every day use at work landscaping. Loved them. So I purchased another pair in May of 2019. Ahnu had been bought out by Teva. It is now December of 2019 and my boot treads are worn flat. The top of my right boot toe is separating. My feet ache every night. The quality of these boots is below sub standard and I am deeply disappointed to have spent top dollar for poor quality boots. Teva, you disappoint. I will never purchase another pair of Ahnu/Teva boots again.

I purchased these boots to wear while walking the Camino de Santiago (Camino del Norte-from Irún to Santiago de Compostela-800 km)...I wore them daily from June 1 to July 12, hiking an average of 20 km daily—-in deep thick mud, in rain, up and down hills, on coastal paths, on hot days, and on pavement....I got one small insignificant blister and that’s it!!! Boots were perfect—-light weight, water and mud proof....I loved them!!!!

You guys, these boots are AMAZING!!! I have put them through a LOT since I purchased them about 3-4 months ago. I work at a garden and I'm constantly on the move to maintain the property.I have used them in the rain, 90+ degree and high humidity weather, on inclines, in dirt and mulch, walking, squatting, even a bit of running and they have held up like champs.I have used them extensively, 5 days a week in very outdoorsy conditions. They are surprisingly breathable which was one of my priorities for a hiking boot because I hate when my feet get hot cause they sweat a lot and tend to make my shoes pretty gross, but with these shoes and my wool socks, I stay nice and dry. Even on days where it was 100°F my feet miraculously didn't get hot! I think that also has to do with my socks though cause if you wear the wrong socks, your feet will suffer no matter how good the shoe is, but still even on days where I have to wear crappy socks, these boots still keep my feet happy.The ankle support is also very good.The only negative thing is that because I tend to sweat a lot in my feet and ankles, the top of the shoe, which is turquoise on the inside, rubbed off on one of my pairs of socks because of the moisture. For me it wasn't a big deal at all but it might be for other people.But I literally can't say enough about how much I loved these!!! They are worth every penny for sure. Also, I am shocked that these boots have some bad reviews

Two things first of all: this is not a man’s boot, it is a woman’s boot, and I am a 65-year-old woman, quite active. I had purchased an earlier version of the Montera boot a year ago for hiking and they are my most comfortable footwear. When it came time to look for a boot for this winter, I realized that the only time I get to the end of the day with my feet in good shape is when I was wearing the Montera boots. I’ve bought good casual shoes and athletic shoes, and by the end of the day wearing them I’m always aware of discomfort in my feet and ankles. With my hiking boots I ordered a full-size up and wear them with a liner socks and a heavier smartwool sock and the fit is perfect. I also ordered these boots a full-size up, put a gel innersole in them and wear them with thinner socks. Both pair fit perfectly. They not only provide comfort, they provide exceptional stability on any terrain.I’m going to have a problem when summer comes again, because I've become accustomed to wearing these all day, every day, I won’t want to give them up, and they definitely will not look good with dressy shorts, capris, or skirts!

I am super glad I bought these boots! I wore them all over Alberta, from the Mountains to the Badlands, in dry and super wet weather. Honestly, they fit really well (I went the half size larger like others suggested), and my feet were comfortable the entire time. Even in ankle high mud/puddles, my feet were dry, the only wetness came from higher water going over the top. But they also cleaned off really well and only took a couple hours to dry. The only wearing in at the beginning was some slight rubbing on the back heel, but it didn’t take long for them to fit perfectly. Will definitely purchase these again in the future!

Me quedaron muy bien, pero el recubrimiento de la zona de adelante de la bota, se mancha muy fácilmente y se ve como si estuviera tallada la bota, hay que cuidar que no le caiga ningún líquido como jugo o algo que ocasione que se manche.

Boots felt a bit narrow, but were really nice.

These are great for hikes in wet areas when you want something light.

Dislike: the boots are advertised as MENS 8 but women's 8 boots were sent 3 times and were too small.
