The 44 oz will not hold 44 oz of solids.
When you are storing coffee beans or ground coffee you are not storing 44 liquid oz. You store 44 solid oz or just under 3 lbs of beans. The 44oz can is not even close to the expected size.

I love these canisters. I bought two - one for my regular coffee and one for decaf. It holds a full pound of ground coffee. They are perfect and the price was right.

Seems to work fine but hinge is flimsy
Time will tell. You have to realign the top every time its used. Push top back against the hinge every time before engaging the latch.
