Developed in Germany and used in hundreds of thousands of European kitchens, Stoneline cookware has the strength of cast iron skillets, the chef-quality weight of aluminum, and a stone micro-coating so naturally nonstick that even eggs and cheese just slide right out without greasing the pan. Unlike other nonstick pans, Stoneline’s hot-stone cooking surface resists scratches and gets hot enough to sear meats to lock in juicy flavor. It also cooks evenly so pancakes brown beautifully without scorching. And for all foods – even sticky mac and cheese or a simmered-all-day stew, Stoneline simply wipes clean with a paper towel! This extra large fry pan gives you all the room you need to cook up anything from pan-fried fish, chicken and steaks to breakfast frittatas, stovetop lasagna, sauteed veggies and golden-brown pancakes. Unlike many nonstick pans, this XL Deep Fry Pan’s hot-stone cooking surface gets hot enough to sear in flavor and juices – and then cleans up with one quick wipe of a paper towel. Handle is ovenproof to 350 degrees. Works on any type of cooktop. 12-year warranty included.Dimensions; 11" Diameter, 2-1/8" DEEP Fry Pan/Skillet

Listed as StoneDine, shipped as Stoneline
The seller includes a sheet of paper attached to the invoice explaining that the product shipped is Stoneline not StoneDine, but that they are exactly the same. Seems a dubious practice, although the skillet does seem comparable to what I would have expected had it been StoneDine (just based on the television ads and never having seen one in person). I haven't used it yet, and will try to return and update my review after I have. But I wanted to give other customers a heads-up so they know what they will be receiving.Update 10/04/2013This skillet is not perfect, but is probably worth the cost, depending on your needs. It is deep and heavy enough to sit well on a burner, but not so heavy that an adult would have a hard time lifting it. The depth is nice - enough room to do something very saucy or even a stir fry. The skillet lives up to its non-stick hype and easy cleanability. Not a thing that I've tried sticks to the surface and it does wipe out effortlessly (I wish all my pans cleaned this easily). The primary downside is that it doesn't seem to brown anything well. If you like to get good color/sear on your meat or a deep french-onion-soup carmelization on your sauteed onions, this pan is not your best choice. If you're just looking to cook the meat without developing those extra layers of color and flavor, then this is a practical and economical choice. Based on my ongoing use, I've updated my rating from 1 to 3 stars despite the discrepancy in labeling at the time of my purchase. It probably deserves 3.5.

Best nonstick pan that won't break the bank.
Truly awesome nonstick pan for a price that's affordable. Nice large size and it comes with a glass lid that allows you to cook almost anything. I use it 2-3 times daily, from eggs in the morning to sautéed veggies for dinner it cooks everything to perfection. No need for extra oils or butter that really let's you enjoy your foods natural taste. If your in the market for a great nonstick pan that actually works then look no further. For those who say it doesn't work, they obviously didn't read the directions that came with the pan. You HAVE to prime this pan as soon as you get it using a paper towel with a little canola or olive oil. You only have to do this once and you're good to go. Also, DO NOT wash this pan out with water and especially not soap after each use or you're ruining the nonstick factor. Nothing sticks to this pan if primed properly, so after each use just take a dry paper towel and clean anything left in the pan and put it away, couldn't be easier to clean. I also like to occasionally prime it (every 2-4 weeks) but I don't believe it's actually necessary.

Good product, not so good marketing
This pan so far has performed exactly as they advertise. I was a bit leary when I read the other reviews about the coating pealing off after a short time, but they also said that the warranty was honored so I gave it a shot. When it arrived, it came in a box that said Stoneline by Emperess. I questioned the seller and they assured me that it is the exact product just different packaging. I didn't just take their word for it, so I looked into it and apparently Stonedine is made by Stoneline and the different names are used for marketing in different places. The pan looks and performs just like on TV but the handle is not attached as well as I would like and the overall feel of the handle is a bit cheap. However with that said, I am satified with it so far and I'll update if it gives any trouble.

The best pan I've ever had for this price
I love this brand of pans. Absolutely love them. I've got several already. I use this frying pan the most. The size is nice, not too big, not to small. It's a heavy pan (think Calphalon aluminum heavy, not cast iron heavy), so it heats quickly and evenly. Even though I use this pan a couple of times a week, the nonstick surface is still in perfect condition. You literally can wipe it clean with a paper towel. I've seen some people question that the pan isn't dishwasher safe. I don't know if it would be dishwasher safe because there is no need to ever put it in the dishwasher. I literally put a couple of drops of soap and a little water to swish around with the cloth, rinse and you're done. I really hope Stoneline comes out with more sizes for pans and maybe a griddle too?

Great pan for the first year - now starting to peel
This pan is a great non-stick pan, and does everything it says it should. The only drawback is that it's also heavy. As a man of average size, it's still quite heavy to pick up and clean in the sink by holding with 1-hand. It's even heavier with the glass top on it, so ladies, don't think you're going to carrying this around with a 2nd hand & pot holder.I did have to tighten the screw on the handle with a little extra force prior to my first use, I'll assume that has something to do with the weight of the pan as well. Since then I've not had to re-tighten it.- 1-year Later -Still using this pan on a weekly basis & love it, however the non-stick coating along the top ridge is now starting to peel. I've contacted the seller who informed me the 12-warranty is from the manufacturer and I can't figure out how to contact them about the replacement. Returns on Amazon are usually easy, but dealing with a manufacturers warranty is a different story.

An excellent six-month skillet
If I'd written this review in the first three months after purchase, this skillet would've received five stars and gushing kudos. I've used it every day for eight months now--no metal has ever touched it, nor soap. I've followed the manufacturer's directions to the letter. Yes, I want this thing to last 12 years and I'm even willing to follow directions to make that happen. Well, the pan will definitely not last that long--it already shows signs of pitting and minor sticking. My guess is that it will last two years. I doubt it will make it to three. That said, I'm very pleased with how the skillet's nonstick surface worked when new, and I'll be purchasing another when this one gives out. But I sure won't be expecting it to last 12 years.UPDATEIt lasted 11 months. It's still usable but the surface is now flawed (nothing has touched it other than food, paper towels, and silicone utensils), and the food does stick. I'm not sure it's worth the price, and I'm downgrading from 4 stars to 2 stars based on price and durability.
