Expensive but excellent quality cloth tape
I use it to mark / colour code shelves, drawers, items and then write a very short description on the tape in permanent pen. It is perfect for the job. Adhesion is good. I recomend that you cut it with a sharp knife from the cloth side with the tape bent double back on itself (scrissors get a bit gummed up with the adhesive).

Mate finish, very easy to rip apart, strong hold but no residue to talk about when removed and very easy to write on it with common ball head pens.
