I absolutely love this maple syrup! The flavor is rich, smooth, and perfectly sweet without being overwhelming. I’ve been using it for a few years now, and it’s become a staple in my kitchen. Whether I’m adding it to pancakes, oatmeal, or baking recipes, it never disappoints. Consistent quality every time. Highly recommended!

This maple syrup has a remarkably powerful flavour when compared to my usual which was Waitrose 1 Canadian No. 2 Amber until they ran out. The Escuminac Dark Robust I received has strong hints of caramel and subtler overtones of liquorice, molasses and coffee. As a maple syrup noob the overall effect was surprising and took some getting used to but a second tasting was much more pleasing. Once opened the screw top under the black waxy seal is white plastic. Value for money is not a strong point, on a simple cash per volume basis it is a bit more expensive than similar products. To be fair glass containers do seem to fetch a premium over plastic with maple syrup and dark syrup seems a bit more expensive than light and this is also described as organic which usually adds a premium. I dont know enough about the different types of maple syrup to say whether the flavour alone justifies the rest of the cost, but you are also paying for a sturdy heavy based designer glass bottle and artful label design as well as good packaging and efficient delivery. So it is a stylish gift as well as good quality maple syrup. No regrets here, happy with the purchase, five stars for flavour and presentation, four for value.

I wanted some decent, better than average maple syrup for special cooking recipes and as a topping for much loved meals like bacon and eggs. This ticks all those needs and boxes. It's proper canadian maple syrup, single blend, late harvest. This all makes it full of flavour, rich, thick (but still easily pourable), healthy (as much as maple syrup can be), dark and super tasty. It's not as sugary or sweet as an early harvest or a lighter coloured syrup, in case that's what you prefer or need. It's delicious. Surely that's enough of a reason, 😄

This has a little bitter taste and not as sweet as others but still a lovely smooth texture and well worth the extra money

The opening wasn't designed for easy dripless pouring, even the bottle and packaging is well designed. Heavy taste, not so sweet. Depend personal preference i guess.

This maple syrup has a nice taste, not too over the top to have on porridge oats. I haven't had chance to use it for anything else, but I'm sure it will be a lovely addition to most foods.

Après avoir testé la variante "Extra Rare" que j'adore, je suis revenu à la "Récolte Tardive" pour changer et varier les plaisir. Et c'est toujours un régal ! Après, ce sirop d'érable reste positionné haut de gamme compte tenu du prix.... J'ai apprécié : ✚ Les différents choix de force d'arôme disponibles (la Récolte Tardive est plus *forte* en goût et en intensité) ✚ Le goût et la texture du produit (et c'est le plus important n'est ce pas) ✚ Le système de scellage du flacon parfaitement hermétique, à découper pour accéder au bouchon vissé. Il est désormais orné d'un caribou, animal emblématique du Québec, ce qui n'était pas le cas la première fois que j'ai acheté ce produit. J'ai moins apprécié (ce qui enlève 1 étoile) : ⛔️ Le prix (vraiment pas donné...) ⛔️ L'absence d'un doseur (on a tendance à faire dégouliner du sirop en relevant le flacon quand on le verse directement sur les crêpes par exemple) J'espère que mon commentaire vous sera utile. The price was excellent and I received it in very good time. The flavour was so buttery and the colour was so dark amber. This Maple syrup will now always be my ‘go-to.’
