Super Friends shopping list with original airing dates :)
This is it!! If you started collecting from the first DVD release, then you know it wasn't a journey but a struggle. Warner Bros releases of this cartoon were tortue. They released the series in no particular order. Like 1977 was first, 1983 second then maybe 1980 then 1985 show and given stupid names like "Lost episodes". The only thing lost were our patients. Arrrghhh!! but here it is. I made a list for those who want them in original airing dates.Season 1 Super Friends (1973) Vol. 1 Super Friends (1973) Vol. 2 Season 2 Super Friends (1977) The All New Super Friends Hour Vol. 1 Super Friends (1977) The All New Super Friends Hour Vol. 2 Season 3 Super Friends (1978) Challenge of the Super Friends Vol 1 Super Friends (1978) Challenge of the Super Friends Vol 2 Season 4 Super Friends (1979) World's Greatest Super Friends Season 5 Super Friends (1980-81) A Dangerous Fate Season 6 Super Friends (1981-82) Legacy of Super Powers Season 7 Super Friends (1983) The Lost Episodes Season 8 Super Friends (1984) The Legendary Super Powers Show Season 9 Super Friends (1985) The Super Powers Team, Galactic Guardians

Not so super
Like most of Warner's complication of the Super Friends series - terrible. The DVD authoring and restoration is much to be desired. I don't understand Warner. They have the opportunity to restore animated classics and yet alter the way it was originally broadcast for some reason, a reason that points to the ill-fated attempt to show how "wonderful Warner is" (they are not). I would have given this more stars if the presentation of the DVD was worth it.The cartoons are OK and since Warner holds the rights for now this is the best you can get from the classic Super Friends series produced by the talented Hanna-Barbera. It does show how this show influenced many other contemporary programs such as the Justice League/Unlimited and even other offerings from Marvel, Family Guy and The Simpsons. At the time this was made Superman was perceived to be the all-powerful untouchable hero who would be overcome by kryptonite and red sun energy while Wonder Woman and Batman would occasionally exert their full abilities depending on the writer of the story. Watching the story with one of these latter characters would beg the question, "hang on, they CAN do this and this and yet are doing NOTHING, why?"

Not as good as we remember when we we were kids
Not as good as we remember when we we were kids, yep giving hints to my age, but certainly fun for all ages, the mere fact that these cartoons defy all the laws of physics, and, just common sense makes them even more fun to watch, if you're actually paying attention, you will completely not understand what the &$%%^#^^ just happened , having said that ,Superman does not kill anybody in any of these cartoons, because he would never do that, because hes SUPERMAN!!!

Amazing Band of Super Friends
The media could not be loaded. Â Full of 1979s/1980s style of action. These adventures definitely keeps my attention as a member of a younger generation. Some episodes are worth watching again. Definitely will watch this as part of a movie night at home. Animation and dialogue between the characters are all right for their time.

Classic Series from the 1970s and 1980s, But Somewhat Dated By Today's Standards!
This is a television series from 40 years ago, so given its age, the animation and the stories in the series are clearly dated with its simplicity and wholesomeness. On the one hand, the series is safe for children to watch, but on the other hand, children might lose interest in the series if they are used to watching the more recent animated superhero stories of the 21st Century.

Superfriends or else
I remember watching this as a kid and wonder if this could exist on another world ( I was seven at the time), yet I enjoyed the cartoon, despite the glaring plot holes. Plus the fact some stories shold have been dealt by different heroes. I recommend this to all people who grew up in the 1980's

Kid friendly
The main reason to get this is because if found memories from childhood. The nice thing about these stories is that you can play the around a young child and not have to worry about too much violence
