About the Author Colleen Fleshman has been passionate about travel since she was twelve, when she told her parents that she planned to walk across America after she graduated high school. When that plan was answered with something along the lines of, “Over our dead bodies,” she changed her plans to studying abroad in Austria while in college. Her thirst for travel was only piqued then, which is why she and Diego hatched their crazy plan to travel the world. She studied German in college, a skill that turned out to only be useful when on cruise ships in Europe, and worked as technical support in Wisconsin for three years after college. She is now lives in Florida with her psychotic 3-year-old dog. She is in her first year in medical school.
