Loving Family Sterling Silver 1-1/4" Heart - 24" Chain

Its the thought counts and I bought this for my mother in law! When I opened it, I was very impressed. For the price that I paid, I thought it would look a little cheaper but it feels heavy and looks pretty. I picked out the stones of her kids and started putting them in the locket. Although i wanted to be careful as not to break the necklace so I was careful when opening the locket. Although I found that I was having a hard time opening it. I realized later that you had to take off the chain for the locket to fully open all the way. Once I did that I put her kids stones in there and tried to close it. It didnt snap shut like I expected so I started to read the little paper that came with it. I realized that I had bought the smaller locket and the smaller locket can only only four stones when the bigger locket can hold fifteen. I was worried because she has five kids. So I tried to put them all in there anyways and after I shut it as much as I could, I put the chain back on it. I realized that when the chain is on the locket, none of the stones can fall out so I was very excited that I made all five fit in there afterall! I loved it so much I went online and bought one more small locket and another large locket for two other family members:)

I purchased this necklace as a gift for my mother. I put the 12 birthstones of her 4 children & 8 grandchildren in it. I had ordered an add'l set of stones to allow for duplicate b-days. All 12 stones fit nicely inside. I had no issues with installing them. I had read prior reviews that recommended removing the chain before opening the locket to install the stones, and that worked nicely. Because there are so many stones inside you can really see the colors. With 12 inside, I can close it completely w/out issue. I was concerned after reading the reviews that I wouldn't like the chain. It's a sturdy chain, if not the prettiest. I may upgrade the chain to a nicer one, but it's not absolutely necessary. I was considering ordering the smaller size locket for myself which would work better since I would put 3 stones in it for my 3 children. However, I realized that I will only be able to see 2 stones in it because one of the stones is clear (April) so not sure if I will purchase it. Someone suggested putting my dog's birthstone in it :) I loved that idea but, unfortunately, she's an April b-day too. I think it's a nice purchase. I saved $12 by ordering it during a special (lightning deal).

Very nicely done. This was a birthday gift given to a lifelong friend from 6 others. We had a birthstone representing each of us put inside the heart. We ordered the longest chain available, the chain was just average. (I personally didn’t like the chain at all)

Giftable

I loved the necklace, but it wasn’t the size I had hoped it would be. I bought it to replace one my son gave me that I lost. It was much smaller. If you have that one available I would love to order it but didn’t see it offered. I thought that this one I got was the same one I had lost. Beautiful piece, just not the right size so I am returning it.

Clasp wasn't flush when closed on one side, but the necklace comes with a limited lifetime warranty so they might fix/replace it if really bothered my wife.Additional note...the children birthstone crystals are extremely small. We have three in the locket for our kids but they are not visable unless really looking for them so they could be larger. We will probably purchase new crystals in the future, but this is definitely a necklace she is happy/proud to wear on daily basis.Needless to say it does not bother her and she is extremely satisfied with her new necklace. Perfect size too compared to the really large/goddy necklace with kids birthstone I had purchased for her online last mothers day.

I got this for my Mom - who has 8 grandkids. I was able to fit all the stones to represent the whole family from Mom and Dad down to the youngest grandchild. The Locket is beautiful and the chain goes through loops on the back that keep the locket closed (to avoid loosing any stones.) The one thing that would make this a 5 star instead of a 4 star review is the chain is not as pretty as the one for the smaller locket like this one. I realize it needs to be a little more heavy duty because of the size of the locket, but it could still be a little nicer. I'm going to look for a nicer one and replace it.

I ordered this necklace for myself. The detail on the heart is very pretty. Inside I put birthstones in for my kids, hubby, parents and grandparents. Glad I got the larger size I like the presence and the longer chain. I am ordering a 2nd one for a girlfriend that is getting married. I am going to put hers and the grooms birthstones inside and she can continue to add as her family grows. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is it wasn't the easiest to open to get the stones inside but if you get past that it stays securely shut and is a beautiful piece.
