Beautiful book, amazing recipes!

A really beautiful book!
If you are looking for an all-purpose basic Italian cookbook, this is not the book for you. The cooking directions are a little sketchy at times although they tell you how difficult the recipe is to make on each page. The authors assume that you know how to cook and execute some of the procedures. However, if you are an experienced cook and are looking for some excellent recipes to round out your repertoire you will love this book. A lot of the recipes are quite simple but just a little different from what you find in other books. The book is really large (9 inches by 14 inches by 1 1/2 inches thick) and heavy, like a coffee table book, but the photographs are superb - you want to head straight to the kitchen and begin cooking!.I have made Piedmontese Agnolotti (Difficulty 2), Potato Cake appetizer (Difficulty 1), Pork Fillet in Marsala Wine (Difficulty 2), the Apple Strudel (Difficulty 2) and all have turned out just like in the photos. On each page there are suggested variations and/or some interesting facts and history of the recipes which I enjoyed reading. I will be cooking through most of the recipes in the coming months.
