Hallmark KeepsakeChristmas Ornament 2018 Year Dated, Merriest House in Town with Music and Light

I was thrilled to find this fun Hallmark ornament for a great price through Amazon Warehouse. This thing glows! Santa glows a bright red. The two snowmen blink in several different colors. The rooftop is brightly lit so you can clearly see " Ho Ho Ho" from your tree or mantle. Hallmark changed their power cord so this ornaments only works with their "Keepsake Cord." It will not work with their "Magic Cord"; that has been retired. The Keepsake Cord enables you to connect more ornaments together as opposed to the Magic Cord, but it is more expensive. If you don't mind buying the Keepsake Cord, this "Merriest House in Town" is a fun addition to your Hallmark collection.The Hallmark stores sold out of this ornament super quickly, so I was pleased to find it on Amazon. There are a lot of small parts to this ornament, so be careful when handling it; it won't survive if dropped on a hardwood or tile floor. I had purchased one of these at a different website, and Santa's leg had snapped off during shipping, so it is somewhat fragile.

I loved the ornament. BUT>>>>> I was discouraged to find out I needed ANOTHER special power cord. I don't know how many different cords there are but it seems like every time I get another of these light and sound ornaments another special power cord is required. There should be one provided or at least give you something to mail in to get one. I received this one as a gift but was not able to demonstrate it on Christmas morning since I did not have the right cord. Somewhat embarrassing for the giver as well. When i tried to get one from Hallmark guess what - they were all sold out until July or so. I had to resort to EBay to find one at a reasonable price. So, if you buy ANY Hallmark light and sound ornament read the fine print and make certain there is a cord available.

It arrived quickly and was so excited to see what it did. I didn't have a cord. So I ordered one. It was the wrong cord. I was bummed out. Then the hubby went to get one of his old phone charger cords. I can't believe it, but it worked! Our Hallmark Merriest House in Town ornament is hooked to a cell phone charger cord, then that cord is hooked to the star, & star to lights, lights to outlet. Someone said we could've taken out a bulb & plugged it in..😦 Anyway, love it!

I was very happy to add this house to the others I have collected over the years. Hallmark loses a star tho since they came out with a new cord. Very upset it doesn’t sync with the other houses. Hopefully they come out with an adapter to make this possible. If they do I will add another star.

This ornament looked great on the Christmas tree this year however a power cord was not included nor was it mentioned that one was needed.

I love the ornament but I seem to be missing a cord from the ornament to the cord I purchased separately, as instructed when ordering the ornamnet
