Great story
The book The vendor of Sweets is a great story of a simple man. The story revolves around a widower and how he raises his only son. The unconditional love of a father to his selfish son has been portrayed well.. I would love recommending this to people who like to read stories life of older generations in India.

Good to go back to olden days once in a while. This book shows how too much of affection for anybody can spoil everything. Also, how sometimes people take others for granted. Enjoyed reading it.

A simple story with deep insights into issues like generation gap, the corruption of human mind, the loss of values and the heart of a loving father. The delivery was good. The quality of the book is also nice. R.K.Narayan can never disappoint.
