Very good beginner's telescope.
It is an Awesome telescope for a beginner. It comes with a 3x Barlow lens and that makes astronomical use quite feasible. Image quality is good and the tripod(though many have complaints with it) is pretty okay too, since the telescope is very light. The bag is well padded and the total package is so light that it's a delight to carry around. One may underestimate the telescope's power and quality by the looks of it.An awesome product all in all with very good packaging by Amazon!

Worst for viewing moon and other plant ,good for bird watching
This product is not designed properly. There is no provision for accurate movement of telescope to bring the object in to view frame. All adjustment need to be done manually. Problem with manual adjustment is if you have to tilt the scope by 1/2 deg or less,it a mammoth task or impossible, a fine adjusting screw should have been a great option. I am stressing lot on adjustment because, if you have focused the bigger object like moon, with great difficulty the moon will be in movement every second and you need to readjust for every 2 min ,which is a pain. The tripod is not so sturdy. This can be used for bird watching.I have taken few photos of birds which I am posting here. I had tough luck clicking snap of moon.I did not try viewing other plants. I guess it impossible for me to bring it to view frame and focus.Think before purchase.

Light in weight and easy to carry
Recently purchased this telescope. Works well. Could see the moon in detail and the craters too. Far away objects on land were clearly visible. Tripod stand is a little shaky. Light in weight and easy to carry.

Not for astronomy
the 50mm lens is decent and all the parts, in theory, should be okay for some amount of sky watching, however, not just the tripod but all the parts are shaky its almost impossible to get something into focus. in this regard, the finderscope is also useless for two reasons: 1. the crosshairs are not centered, so adjusting the focus will change the location of crosshairs too, 2. the screws that hold it in place are slippery and very hard to deal with, making the finderscope not align parallelly to the telescope. Its unfortunate that at this price point, this is probably the best you can get.
