Connected an old Wii to a newer TV and the kids think it's awesome. Note that if the colors are weird, try switching the red and white (the rest of the colors match exactly with the Wii colored ends we have). That did the trick. It's not a perfect picture and we do get some static at the top of the screen in the main menu but the game itself is fine. Great to be able to have a smaller new TV hooked up to this fantastic old game.

After all hooked up it took me a long time to figure out that the power supply that came with it was not powerful enough to work with a 42" screen??? When trying it on a 20" monitor it worked fine so figured I set it up wrong on TV. It did not work until I decided to use the TV USB input instead of wall adapter! Still have no idea why that would make a difference but once It got enough power it was/is great, 5 stars if I knew then what I know now

This little guy is a very straightforward way to convert your old YPBPR signal into HDMI (let's say your Wii console output) to HDMI for game streaming or recording.I've been recently introducing my kids to a lot of great Wii games and since the oldest one is into uploading those sessions to YouTube, I was looking for an easy way to convert the signal to HDMI, which is what our streaming/capture device has.It caught my attention that it needs an external power supply (check picture with the box contents) but you can easily get a USB connection from the TV or your laptop.All around, a great adapter to convert your old composite signal into HDMI for whatever use you need.

I bought this to hook my PS2 up to a 65” Samsung 4K TV. Apparently the newer models don’t have component hookups like my last Samsung, everything is HDMI now. It was easy to setup right out of the box and works AMAZING. I was expecting it to work, but not this good. It’s the closest I’ve seen to looking like the PS2 is hooked up to a standard def tube tv again. If you’re trying to hook an old gaming system up, look no further than this converter.

The box worked perfectly. I had a lightning strike that took out my TVs RGB port, so needed to revert to hdmi. Bought a box from someone else which had too many features- some times simple is best. Anyway, lightning took out that box too the other day. Needed a replacement. Got this one - real fast delivery. Wife was surprised I fixed it so quickly and picture is even sharper than the other box. No noise or interference- works great! Thank you.

I read the reviews and saw a lot that said it did not work on their DVD players and other devices. I needed 4 of these, decided to just get one to see first. Glad I did. It does work - with some devices. Only 1 of 3 DVD players, neither of two older component I/O surround sound receivers, nor the 4x2 component matrix switch I got this one for. The DVD player it does work with though, image quality seems good - no apparent audio/lip-sync lag like some of these things cause. It even came with female-female RCA adapters to utilize extensions - which is why it gets an extra star.

Purchased a new TV which only has HDMI connections. Bought this item so I can connect the component connections from my older Wii to the new TV. After ensuring all five connections were correctly made, my Wii was now showing on the new TV. Menu screen is every so slightly blurry, but when playing the games the screen is clear. Thanks for breathing new life into my old Wii.

The device is actively powered by an external power source so the gain in signal quality is noticeable. It is well packaged, is complete with both the component and hdmi cabling and the directions are clear. Installation took less than 2 minutes. The converter works on standard brands, e.g., Vizio, Sony, and Roku screens. I did not test it on a 4K screen.
