I thought for sure my crazy cat would leap out of the box and over this mat, but he doesn't seem to mind walking or sitting on it. It has pretty big holes. Using with pine pellets. Some of the pellets get stuck in the holes, most don't. Nice to shake the mess out the bottom and the opening in one side. Don't know why there's a split/opening in the middle. Easy to vacuum clean or shake out. Easy washing too.

My vet prescribed this for one of my dogs several years ago. It really helps with mobility issues, such as stiffness and joint pain. Over the years, I have occasionally stopped giving it and within a couple of weeks, will notice the dog looking stiff again. I have 70 lb Goldens and they each get 3/4 scoop twice a day.I took off one star because the price here is almost twice as much as at an alternative pharmacy.

This mat is the best! I had the other kind that is like a rubbery nylon type. You had to either shake it out or vacuum it, and it wasn't easy to get all the litter out. Plus, if the litter got wet in any way, forget it. It's pretty much ruined or looked terrible! So I went searching for a different one and searched on the internet for best cat litter tracking mat, and this one was one of the tops of the list. While it is a bit more pricey, it is worth every penny, because the litter literally falls into the holes in the hexagonal design, and you can not see the litter. It falls onto an inner lining, then all you need to do is pick it up, and toss it back into the litter box! It is large in size, which is good because my litter box is extra large. I do not think you will be disappointed. Really works..hardly any litter gets tracked on the floor...very grateful!

That is one big cat litter mat! It is large so great for when your cat manages to get the litter far out of the litter box. It is black material, in two layers, thatch comes apart when you want to dispose of the litter. The top layer has holes in it so the litter falls through and it is high thick enough so that even large litter falls below the top line of the mat. It truly absolves your cat litter mess problem. All stray litter just fall in through the mesh and is collected on the lining. So when you are ready to clean it, you open it and shake it out to the bin. Cat litter area is nice and clean now. Strongly recommended.

Doesnt work well with the pellet type of litter. Good with liquid spills when your cat cant keep his bottom in the box

Amazing product that will make your feet happy and litter free! The mat is large enough even for a multi-cat litter box and traps the particles very well. Most importantly, you can walk over it rather comfortably, if need be, and nothing will get on your feet. It is very easy to use and clean (you can either vacuum or reuse the collected litter). The product is not folded for shipment, which keeps it flat. I highly recommend it!

I was excited to get this mat because I have one feline that likes to kick half of the litter out onto the floor. It is a pain sometimes to have to sweep the kitchen 2x a day due to the litter. I was quickly disappointed. This does trap the litter but is not what is advertised! I bought the large mat. The opening is in the middle (should be at the bottom of it) of the mat and you can't easily pour the litter back into the box. It gets all over the floor. It's not easy to vacuum up either. It's very stiff and can't be bent to get litter out. I have to take it outside and shake it on the plants to clean it out. Perhaps the smaller mat works better but the large mat doesn't. Bummed!

As long as you keep it dumped out it does a great job keeping the tracked cat litter contained. Not perfect, but very good. Since it is easy to dump the crumbles back in the litter box, it is no big deal to keep it clean.
