I so wanted to like this mask. As someone whose used sleep masks for at least 20 years, the combination of one that's comfortable, totally dark and cooling is the magic trifecta and it's dirt-cheap to boot. Unfortunately, it's a failure for three reasons:1) It's too tight. Even with the adjustable band pulled to maximum, it feels like it's crushing my eyes. I wear a 7 5/8s hat, which is only a 1/4 larger than the men's average of 7 3/8, so it seems a bit unreasonable that even at its' maximum size it's too tight.2) The mask portion has no structure. It just two thin sheets of some satin material, so when it's tight on your face, it puts a lot of pressure on your eyes. If you have a small head, this may not be such an issue.3) The interior of the mask doesn't fully cover the gel insert. As the attached image shows, the left portion of the gel is exposed and pressed against your left eye when wearing the mask. I only had the gel in the fridge for an hour and it was noticeably uncomfortable. I pity anyway who actually leaves the gel in the freezer and then puts on the mask.Again, I love the concept, but it needs to be redesigned.

You do realize that the gel isn't actually supposed to freeze, kind of hard to wear this mask when you have the frozen gel pack laying on the bridge of your nose sticking straight out to the sides."you are not to place it in the freezer for more than 10-15mins""It is important you follow the the instruction on the printed manual for maximum satisfaction. We hope you follow the written instructions to avoid freezing"Oh, I'm sorry, are you talking about the one page "manual" that says "Cold Application: Place gel in the refrigerator 1 hour before use"Or "Place in freezer 20-30 minutes before use"Nowhere does it say the gel will freeze, nor does it say do not leave it in longer than the time specified, in fact, the time specified is just the time you're supposed to leave it in the freezer or the refrigerator before you take it out, it doesn't say you can't keep it in.Well, I was just going to suck it up and keep it, but after that response I'm going to return it, would suggest you don't bother with this product unless you like an ice stick laying on your face.(I had to edit my original post because with a response it won't let me post a pic...sorry about that)

The mask let's a little light in, but over all it does its job. It is pretty comfortable with its adjustable elastic strap, as long as the cold jell pack is in it. DO NOT LET IT FREEZE, my wife made the mistake for leaving it the freezer for 2 hours and it busted at the seam. It would have lasted a lot longer if it didn't get frozen like the warning label says.The mask is a silky texture, not very comfy or usable without the jell pack

One of the best eye masks I have owned. The adjustable headband and bottom raised mask area keeps the light out.The gel pad is very cold (after freezer time) but I use it sometimes after it gets to a comfortable temperature. There is avertical slit in the center of the mask where it slips in. The mask by itself is light and cool.I use ear plugs for sleeping, these green ones are a bit too stiff when squeezing them to insert, but I occasionally use them.I find the draw string Zlipy Mask pouch very useful. The mask and pouch have a smooth, silky feel.

Keeps light out! Recommend keeping gel pack in fridge to cool it down. DO NOT freeze! It is not comfortable if you do. Two cons: the loosest setting it is very tight in my opinion. I don't have a big head either.Also, the adjusting plastic part sits directly on my temple so I cannot sleep on my favorite side.

The plastic ripped after about 20 days(maybe 10 days of use). They offered to replace it but I was too busy to send it back within the 30 day period.

Gel insert that you freeze is not very pleasant on the eyes. Must freeze with insert inside of mask or else it won't fit, and must lay just right during freezing process. Just more trouble than its worth. Use it just as a regular sleeping mask now, and its already fraying and falling apart.

Nice, but too small for my head. More child sized...
