Reading was 20* low
It was 32* here in Washington state this morning- thermometer read 19* !! Has been off for the 3 days we've had it. Manufacturer said to return it. Will order it again- we like the galvanized look & ease of reading thru our window.Feel sure the next one will work fine....or else I"LL BE BACK !

Easy to see. Best viewed from straight ahead. Sturdy materials.
Large visible markings. Red mercury can't be seen from the side so plan accordingly. Good to view from straight ahead such as on a wall. Very sturdy metal backing. Mercury ball well protected with a cage.

Broken when received,they don’t take them back. Tryed to send pictures,didn’t work

"white" mercury
After about 2 weeks of hanging on my porch, the red mercury, or whatever is in it has turned white. It is very hard to see now as we must be right on top of it to make out the temp. Have never seen a thermometer do this in my 66 years.
