I've bought A LOT of mounts. This one was almost perfect. The air vent mounts never worked for me. I don't trust the suction mounts and don't want anything blocking the windshield. The cup holders or cigarette mounts with the flexible arms are not stiff enough. So, I started trying out the CD mounts. I have a Prius and all of these CD types would block the rear-cam screen, which you really need in a Prius. But this mount raises the phone up instead of dropping it down. 1st one I found to do that! My problem is that I have a wallet type cover for my iPhone and the bottom plate is too thin to hold the phone in place. I'm sure it would be great for a thin silicone skin or nothing at all. Bummer. I wish one of these mount makers would take wallet and thicker protective covers into account. Still a great device. I had to get something else which is a compromise and still looking. Any suggestions?

It says it right there on the header, easy and convenient. I really enjoy how simple the phone holder works on the CD compartment of the car, just stick it in and you are done! This phone holder works great for when you are driving, talking on the phone, and charging the phone! Above all, the security is the most important integrity of both your safety and the safety of your phone. When I first received this item, I thought it would come as a one solid piece but come in two different pieces (The piece that holds the phone and the piece where it goes inside of the CD compartment). Unfortunately, the package did not include instructions which I believe they should include to make it a clear for those who purchase it. At first it was pretty difficult to install both pieces together but after a while of wondering and finding all possible ways of sticking them together, I found a way to attach them. Once you snap those babies together, all you need to do is just mount your phone and drive!For driving purposes, it is always to stay focused on the road with both hands on the wheel. With the help of the phone holder, you can make calls, charge your phone, and even listen to music more comfortably. Say good by to driving with one hand on the wheel and the other on the phone. With the phone holder just about 2 feet away from you or so, you can make a call and talk/hear clearly with no complications.Another great reason why this product is meant to be in your car is that your phone can charge comfortably without having any tangles wires around your lap. By having the phone holder right on the CD part, you will be able to charge your phone without having any risk of the charger and phone from damaging.Speaking about security, this phone holder can hold your phone so firm that it will not fall. One of the biggest issues drivers have in common is losing their phones below their seats or in-between the seat. Most drivers would go on a search for the phone while driving which is hazardous and can cause a horrible accident. It is very easy to do it, just tap the button in the back and it will expand by itself and when you adjust it to your phone size it will automatically lock to the size of the phone according to how you adjust the side brackets.All in all, this is designed for the safety and the comfort for you. I wish it could have came with instructions just to clarify and kill any extra time without damaging the phone holder. It is made out of hard plastic so it will be difficult to damage the actual phone holder from any sudden falls. Simple and super easy to use!

Easy to set up in an area that is on my vehicle but obsolete. Sturdy and convenient

There are very few spots that can accommodate a cell phone in this auto. This one is just right and I purchased and look at many, many. I think I found this one on page 30. I love the small knob to tighten the cd slot holder and it holds tight. There is a little vibration when driving but not bad. It holds my Moto G Power (2021) with a big Poetic case securely. You can slide the mount to left or right in your CD slot to get it just right. You could install it upside down, too.The vent holder did not work in my car. The vent grips are not long enough to go over the vent. It would have been nice because I like that it didn't stick out too far from the vent which would hit the controls on my CR-V. But the CD mount seems better for my car anyways.The grips and button work fine. Button placement on back is good.

So I got this product for free to review, that doesn't affect my view of the product except that I didn't pay for it.---The product comes in 3 parts:1. The phone mount itself, which has a ratcheting mechanism to get wider and more narrow. It ratchets as you squeeze it (so it won't loosen after you adjust it), but there's a button to release it to remove your phone. On the back of this, there is a socket2. The CD Player Mount, which is essentially a small spreader that you insert into your CD player and turn a knob to spread it to tighten. On the back of this, there is a ball, for the socket.3. The vent mount, which is a great design since it tightens with what appears to be solid plastic and metal nuts and bolts. Turning a plastic wingnut closes the pinch on the vent fin. I tested this and it worked well. This has a ball on the back for the socket as well.You attach either 2 or 3 to your car, and then put the phone mount on.Thoughts:I thought this was a real clever solution to the now often outmoded CD Player in vehicles. I felt like the product was unique in the way it clipped because it actually uses a mechanical turn-to-tighten solution rather than a spring loaded one. The way the CD player insert works is that it goes in about an inch to your CD player slot, then you turn a knob to expand the spreader to tighten the hold.* The actual mount held my iPhone 11 Pro Max with an otterbox without an issue.* I the bottom mount has an opening for a charging cable to go through it, so you can easily charge while you use the mount.* This is a little more flexible than these exact implements though. For example, I have a place on my dash where the trim and casing come together, and I was able to fit the CD player spreader there for another option.Overall, this is a pretty solid device. I will append this review if it breaks or anything, but my first impressions are that this is a pretty well made product, and I would buy this.Edit: After using this for a bit, I would say one major failing is that if the phone is held in portrait mode, it only takes a little bit of force to push the button open and release the phone. It doesn't happen often, but it is a slight design flaw that I thought I would mention.
