Small Space Garden Ideas Paperback – Illustrated, February 17, 2014

I have gardened since I was a child and have been collecting useful gardening books for many years now. I originally checked this book out at the local library and fell in love with it. Had to have it for my own so I purchased it used through an Amazon vendor. When I find a good gardening book with novel and useful ideas it quickly becomes well loved and well worn. My book already is dog eared, highlighted and filled with notes on post its. Having recently moved to a new location with basically a clean slate in which to gardening and landscape, this book quickly caught my attention with its clever as well as penny pinching ideas. I have already begun to search for the items I did not already possess in order to create some of these wonderful ideas for brightening up my house and yard with plants. Particularly, I am planning to make wooden boxes in which to grow herbs, sew an oil cloth tablecloth so hang from my wrought iron rails outside, and hang suet filled cookie cutters from the tree limbs for the birds to enjoy. The instructions to these projects and many others are all within the pages of this small book. I highly recommend this book to any gardener who likes unique, useful, affordable and recyclable ideas for your green children. Just imagine the satisfaction you'll have to see what you've done with items you never thought of as specific for gardening!

Checked this one out at my local library--loved it so much--beautiful photos; reasonable, timeless and do-able ideas--that I knew I would want to own it for years to come! I want to get creative with plants and have ways to share them with others, and DK Publishing books are absolutely the best non-fiction references for all ages!

I picked up this book in a store and when I just flipped through found 5 or 6 projects that looked great. I have lots of garden books,so was hesitant to purchase another. Now that I have it, I found even more unique things to try. The step-by-step photos and written instructions are clear and easy. I've been a gardener for years and years, and am impressed with some of the new approaches. So glad I ordered it - now just waiting for the ground to thaw!

This book is very informative on creating small potted gardens .I thought it was a book on creating a small garden , like in your yard .My fault I did not read the description well enough.It has lovely itdeas and beautiful photos.If you like indoor or patio planting, this book is for you .

This book is amazing! It has all kinds of DIY projects that are beautiful and unique. The design concepts are beautiful and many options to accommodate your budget.

This is a cute book but I wanted something closer to what NinsarProject.com has to offer. Kokedamas are the way to go for small spaces and they are as eco friendly as you can get.

I love this book chocked full of creative gardening ideas. When I first checked the book out of the library and looked inside I knew I had to own it. It has so many wonderful ideas on how to make a small area come alive with plants. ALOT of the ideas I plan on making as gifts for friends. You won't be disappointed in this book it is a treasure trove of ideas.
