I have to replace the smart cord for my Passport about once every 18 months. The problem with them is that the mute buttoneventually fails followed by the + pin spring on the tip of the plug. This is the 3rd one for me in 4 years. When they work they are great but they don't last very long with normal use. I suspect they are outsourced overseas. I took the last one apart to try to fixand found the inside components to be cheap parts. Considering the failure rate they should price these things at $5 bucks.

Didn’t have a magnet on it. Only a really sticky thing in the middle. So my phone wouldn’t stay on it. But the charging part worked

Have purchased this product many times. And works great! However, the ones I have had in the past had the wound cord from one end to the other. this one has standard cord at the end that attaches to detector. Pictures or description did not state this.

. Bought this as a replacement for my original which melted in the sun. I fell it was defective, that shouldn't have happened. This replacement worked perfectly and I am very satisfied with it. I refuse to buy from passport because their prices are high and they don't stand behind their products

Bought this as a replacement for the cable that came with the Escort X50 detector I bought 10 years ago. Works the same as the original and that's what I expected.

Ordered 2 of them. Neither came with a magnet. Just a sticky adhesive where the magnet should be. False advertising. The word magnet should not be used at all in the description.

Got my radar detector working again

Whether or not this REMAINS five stars will depend on whether it lasts longer than the normal 12-18 months....which I consider very poor. This is my second such power cord so I'll wait and see. The first one only lasted about a year, so....
