As has been stated in the other two reviews the instructions are in Chinenglish which is horrible. I think they use google translator for their translating software....oh please stop this.Basically this pen works sort of like electrocautery devices. While not exactly the same thing still it uses an electric discharge to char or burn tissue. The amount of power and length of exposure to skin tissue determines overall affect and depth of treatment.The tip itself does not get hot so it is not like say...a soldering iron...it will not burn paper etc. It is just a small probably high voltage low low watt discharge to the skin.Now there is nothing in the instructions to guide you and I would guess that is because this would come close to being a surgical device if they supplied instructions and then you run afoul of the FDA. I spent 30 years a medical field engineer in a variety of medical devices etc and i think this is why there is not any in depth application instructions.It works fine on soft tissue growth like a skin tag that still has good conductive properties..ie blood flow..water in the skin etc. It gets a bit tougher in dry warts etc as there is not conductive pathway since the tissue is dry. So a higher power setting may be needed or multiple treatments.I will say it is great for skin tags. low powers settings work fine and small daily treatments will do. One is not trying to burn the crap out of their skin. Just treat the tag or wart and mole...not sure bout a mole though...don't think it is wise to mess with anything that could be cancerous...but warts and skin tags..works fine.Now it stings a little but nothing too bad. I would not use a numbing agent as that would lead to over treatment IMHO.So it works great..instructions stink...go on youtube and search using a mole pen

I like the nine different settings with this removal pen. The instructions are not very helpful, but you can figure out how to use this with its attachments via You Tube for any similar product like this one.

I'm ok with products coming from other countries but such poorly written instructions does not instill confidence. If you failed to quality check the instructions, what other aspects of the product lacked in quality assurance? After all, people are using this thing on their faces. I appreciate the better instructions on Amazon product description but paper instructions are so bad it makes me think twice about item.Product otherwise delivered as expected.

This product is super, it removes warts or moles in a minute or two, the only con I find about this device is the blue lighting, I think ot would have been far better if the light was white, otherwise, strongly recommend, super seller as well!

Works great! however, there are bunch of fine needles that I do believe it is not safe to use. Coarse needles are one time use only, yes, coarse needles are safe and I preferred to use on this pen! Contacted the seller to order more coarse needles but I am not happy with the answer. I guess you have to order totally new pen if you wanna use it more than three times! Also, I do not know what the heck the instructions talking about! Otherwise, this is similar to ECT for wart removal! As a healthcare professional I do care about safety when using product like this!

I was pleasantly surprised by this mole pen. I have removed two moles with this. The dermatologist would have charged me upwards of $75 per visit.
