Pure Pop Midi S Portable FM/DAB+/DAB Digital Radio - DAB Radio with Bluetooth Music Streaming, Dual Alarms and Kitchen Timer - Blue

This was bought for an elderly parent. The appeal is that the single huge button turns the radio on and adjusts the volume. There's no danger of mis-tuning it with finger trouble after the initial few presets have been set up.So many DAB radios have lots of tiny buttons which (to a half-blind 94-year old) all look the same.The sound is a bit lacking in definition. Simple speech is OK but anything complex loses clarity quite quickly if the volume is turned up.

This is a good radio, small footprint so handy in limited space, good sound, easy controls. It is the second of these i've bought and I still have both, I would give the first five stars but this one only four; it is not as well made as the first.

First the positives - sound quality is good and the battery life is amazing! It lasts a month of near-daily use between charges. Interface is easy to use and no real complaints.HOWEVER I ordered the bluetooth version, paid the extra £20, and they sent me the one without bluetooth. I wasn't going to go to the hassle of shipping it back and getting a new one sent out... so just ate my loss. Be sure you get the right one!

I bought this speaker to use in the kitchen. The sound quality is good for this purpose but I also wanted to be able to connect my iPod. The instructions are not very clear and I've still not found the menu on the device.

Arrived promptly. Love the design - came in a brand new fully sealed box in great condition. Does have European adaptor - but this also has the slide in UK plug - so not an issue - actually this is an advantage if you want to travel as you can use the power supply anywhere.The sound is great for the unit's size - and it looks really neat. I guess you like the patterned design or you don't but we liked it - and the price was good.Definitely would recommend.PS we bought the extra charge pack which is excellent.

Bitterly disappointed with this. Had two of the expensive D1 power packs and when one of our two older Pure Minis (they take the same D1 power pack) gave up the ghost, I was delighted to find this on offer and in "very good" condition. More than £70 all in seemed a lot for a used item, but I decided to take the plunge given the above.The packaging was indeed all in good condition. The display lit up straight away and a channel search commenced. All good - but there was no sound from the speaker. I checked with headphones and it was indeed picking up a signal but there was obviously some sort of connection issue. I spoke to a helpful guy in the returns department and I'm now awaiting the promised refund. I Definitely won't be ordering anything used again!

Excellent little radio I wanted it for the DAB+ as I listen to jazz fm a lot and I have no trouble with it picking up the station ,just one thing when you first programme it don't do as I did and press the button on the back which says auto tune ,just press the large top button, I know I should have read the instructions first ,a man thing my wife keeps telling me, otherwise easy to use.

Bought this for my wife and she loves it. Its very good looking , particularly if you are Nordic or a knitting fan ( or both ) . Doesn't have the amazing sound quality that makes the Pure family outstanding but has a lot more design merit : the sound is good , though. It has a small footprint so takes up very little space .
