Extremely happy!
I purchased wood and framed out useing the vinyl for windows for a screened in porch. The job came out awesome. I thank the manufacturer and distributor for such good product. I installed a small electric fireplace the vinyl retains the heat perfectly. With the sun out on a cold day the porch is warm without the fireplace. The vinyl came in a large heavy roll. The vinyl is not as clear as a glass window and as versatile as a glass window but I saved about $4000 compaired to installing windows. Extremely happy with this product.

This is what you are looking for!
How do I know that? Because I, like you, was looking for something that seemed impossible to find. I tried everything that I could think of - I looked at the plastic things that go under your chair at a desk, way expensive and too small. I looked for the clear plastic that you put down when you are moving and don't want to hurt your carpet or get it dirty. I searched for every kind of carpet protector that I could find, and none of them worked. Nothing worked until now...Then I found this Clear Marine Vinyl - 54"- 40 Gauge plastic, sold by the yard and my search was over. Still, I wasn't sure until it arrived. "What if it was too thin," I wondered. "What if wrinkled or slid around on the carpet?" I thought. I needn't have worried. This WAS the plastic I was looking for!In all seriousness, I was looking for a thin, yet strong, clear plastic to place our ferret cage on - that would allow me to protect my carpet, without making the room look trashy and I needed something that I could walk on, but wouldn't wrinkle and that couldn't easily be punctured or scratched through by my pets.So far, a simple order of three yards has been an outstanding choice and has worked very well. It was easily trimmed to the exact shape I needed, using a razor blade made for cutting carpet. It seems to lay flat on the floor very well. In short, it isn't perfect, but it is pretty outstanding for a wide variety of uses. I'm thrilled beyond belief with this product. Shipping was fast, the plastic was rolled up with paper between the layers so it didn't stick to itself and it is crystal clear and thick and flexible but strong.THANK YOU NICE PEOPLE!

Hands Down, The BEST Heavy Vinyl Window Material Anywhere
I had ordered a product a year ago from an Amazon seller who claimed it was 20 mil in thickness, and after opening and trying to use it, I found they updated the listing to say it was actually 4 mil. This year, I bought this wonderful 40 mil vinyl and I was amazed how easy it was to use. We made custom enclosure windows with this, and even with 35 mph winds, it stays firm and in place. I live in a coastal area so high winds are frequent. I'm so glad I found this vinyl.

What a great product!
We covered 5 floor to ceiling porch screens and porch door today with the vinyl. Took the screens off, put some staples in plastic to hold them to the interior frame until we reinserted the screens. Product worked great and is hardly noticeable. Will make a porch more usable in colder weather with no more wind, rain and snow blowing in. Wish we had done this a long time ago.

Clear & Durable
I actually purchased this product last year and ordered more for this year. The vinyl is very durable and is resistant to making noise during those winter winds. And the visibility is great too. I purchased another brand last year and it was milky looking. So this year I ordered more of this and am very satisfied. It does not do much for insulating the porch but it does cut down on wind and rain, and not too mention the pollen next spring that always leaves a heavy dusting...something we did not have this past spring.

Screen porch is comfy even during our “4 week” winters!
I was going to staple plastic to block the wind but was worried the wind would tear it off. I found this vinyl and read reviews about building frames and stapling it to the wood. So I did that and then inserted the frames into the openings then screwed them to the frame. It keeps the rain and wind out with ease. It is also see through with hardly any distortion. Our Christmas Eve party will be very comfortable now. Will keep this up until the pollen comes out mid February. Then I will store them in the patio ceiling above the garage doors.
