Glue gun works best!
I am a musician and these foam panels are super effective considering their price. Best way to hang on wall is using a glue gun. Even after a year, the panels can easily be removed without leaving any cosmetic scars. When hanging on your wall, be sure to alternate the directions of the panel grid lines as this helps absorb sound most effectively. So, one panel goes left to right, and then the one next to it goes up and down.

They Worked
Nowadays you can get these with adhesion built in, but back in 2019 I had to manually stick these to the wall. They worked well though, I used them to keep the sounds of streaming from disturbing roommates. It came with so many that I didn't even use all of them.

Understand What You're Buying, People
Acoustic panels do not "block" sound. They help control it. These panels are perfectly adequate at reducing nasty slapback and other unwanted reverb in spaces with parallel walls etc. They're meant to mostly control mid and high-range frequencies. Yes, they're thin (1 inch refers to the peak of the fold, same with 2 and 4-inch sizes). This is an extremely cheap price for what amounts to pre-cut foam; I've only had these particular panels up for a little while, so we'll have to see how they hold up over the long term (I have some Auralex panels that have moved multiple houses and traveled with me over the past 10 years), but I absolutely plan on buying more to finish out the room. They look nice and when you add the "function" of the panels, it's a very cost effective way to reign in your home studio while adding a touch of professional appeal.

Not very dense, Minimal dampening
They don't block much sound and talking directly into it or at it doesn't seem to dampen much sound, which is why i believe density is the key here. These are nice and probably if you do your whole room/wall, it'll be more effective, but I'm just using it at talking height/lvl. Also, wish it would've come with some adhesive reusable squares like the 3m silicone type. The ones that don't damage the walls. I am currently not using ALL of them, but I may line the level where I use it to see if it is more effective. You can test these by simply talking to/at them and seeing how much sound is blocked or dampened. They have the density of a kitchen yellow foam sponge, which isn't much. But if you use all of them, it may be more effective. As for the sticking/expanding issues, I had none. Some edges were stuck, but simply rubbing your finger on it breaks it up and it will expand. I think it's just friction heat from when it was cut that caused it to bind/melt. Overall, not bad, but not great either. I will try them out though and see if using more will be more effective.i will post a test to see how many squares it takes to block out the sound of an iPod on the floor.

They came vacuum packed, but puffed up to full size overnight
No complaints. Took a few minutes to separate them all after unpackaging, because they were stuck together.

Showed up destroyed
Vacuum sealed and completely useless. They destroyed these by sucking the air out of them. Says they are 1” thick, these are a little thicker than a sheet of paper and I can’t seem to return them. Garbage, don’t waste your money.

GREAT. Solved our sound issue
Before, we could hear airplanes, fountains, party music, noise outside. Bought this for my boyfriend who yells while voice recording. Now I could barely hear him in the other room. And he couldn't hear me, the laundry, or the TV on the other side either. It DID take time to set up.

Good for what they are
It doesn’t look like much when you first get it, but as soon as you open it they start to expand. These are good for voice recordings and whatnot but they’re only 1 inch. So don’t expect a handful of these to soundproof a room entirely. But for the price it’s a really good deal and they’re all in great shape

Perfect for the price
This one is cheaper than the others, and in the contrary of most reviews on similar product, I did not have to wait hours or days before it regain its normal for, only a 5 minutes and it reached 90% of its form. It is a fragile material, but I had no issue with it whatsoever.

Encelente y fácil de instalar
Pensé que serían de mala calidad pero para le precio es perfecto recomiendo ampliamente y en mi caso si venía con adhesivos y hasta me sobraron

Good price. Works for my outdoor job, but I would not use any foam indoors!
Cost effective option. Do not use any sound foam indoors though. It smells like spray paint. Not a healthy choice. If you have to use the foam inside(like most people) air them out, maybe even wash them. Do a smell test, even pick up a good air filter at the same time. Again, all foam is going to do this. I'm using it outside.

El grosor no es su fuerte
The media could not be loaded.
