My wife wasn't real thrilled that I bought this for my granddaughter's 4th birthday, but it was a real hit. She was easily able to operate it and had it doing as she wanted within a few minutes. I had previously charged the battery on the excavator and had put batteries in the controller, so it was ready to go when she opened it. The battery actually lasted much longer than I thought it might. She and her 5 year old brother played with it for at least a half hour before they needed to put it away. I do need to find a way to keep the track on. It tends to stretch and come off. I'm thinking of weaving string on both sides of each track to keep it tight. It may not have all the features of some of the other excavators on sale, but for the ages of these children, it was great. And it was much more reasonable in price than some. I don't know if it would actually dig very much as there seems to be no down pressure, so I might look at something else for my 10 year old grandchild. But it is fun and fairly well constructed, regardless.

My son was really a huge fan of construction toys ,so when I saw this digger toy I knew he would love it.The package arrived very fast and packed very well in a box, the vehicle itself was highly bulit and came with chargable battery and USB charger cord so that he can recharge it when power is ran out.It's a good thing that remote were secured with a cross head screw ,this will prevent my boys from trying to remove the batteries.I like how the metal bucket thing works,it liked a real thing with the sound and lights. My 5 years old boy could pick up the ball with the claw quite easily.Overall,great value gift!

 My 3 years daughter is happy to play with this,we feel much funny when it goes on the floor.It works like a real excavator and can make a real sound, which makes me and my daughter feel very happy and interesting. The lights in the cockpit and track make it look unique and easy to attract children's attention.We are so happy to purchase this,easy to control and looks beautiful.

Pros: It is tough and beautifully made, responsive, and simple to operate. The battery lasts 30 minutes and it moves at a decent clip, but not too fast for young ones. It climbs great and the lights are a nice touch.Cons: It is only 5 channels and 47Mhz so it doesn't have much range or manipulation. The cab doesn't rotate on its own, which makes it almost useless when digging (you have to turn it into position yourself) and the arm only moves in one direction no matter which button you push (useless when trying not to cycle through the dig motion). It doesn't have music like advertised and it is very low to the ground, meaning it gets stuck on small pebbles and stuff easily. I would recommend it for 5 year olds but it does not teach them much in machine operation like some other toys.

I saw a remote control excavator for double the price advertised and decided to look at Amazon. I found this one which was comparable to the other one & ordered it for my Grandson who is in love with construction equipment vehicles. He loves it and it is easy for him to operate. I’ve ordered two more construction trucks for Christmas by the same manufacturer. I highly recommend.

This was a fun toy to have that is a little different from the usual remote controlled cars. It makes a great present for the nephew. We have only tested it indoors but can't wait to try it outdoors, especially in a sandbox or somewhere with sand/dirt. It should also be interesting trying it out on different terrains. Having family in the construction business, this was a cool toy to have so the nephew/nieces can be like their grandpa. My favorite part is the fact that it is rechargeable, so we don't have to worry about having batteries on hand or wasting money purchasing batteries to power this toy. It is a great toy that can be equally fun for both boys and girls.

This toy is terrible. The tracks will not stay on and constantly fall off. I would not waste your time/money. We have been using it for 3 days and I have had to put the tracks on for my son about 30 times. I will be returning the item back.

I have no idea what RC car the other people who gave five stars for this RC car. I unboxed this car, tried it out in my house, to begin with the steering on the transmitter is so cheap that it will only click left or right. The tires are plastic so the car spins on any hard surface. It was so cheaply made I boxed it up and drove it back to the post office within 2 hours of receiving it.
