Works great for a smaller dog. I can get under her legs and around her tail so much more easily than with the larger one I have. Nice and sharp, too. Only con is that the cover is very thin plastic, but that doesn't make it any less effective.

I have had hypoallergenic, long haired dogs for over 20 years now. We have had 3 Tibetan Terriers, a cock-a-Poo and a Havanese. I have been grooming my current Tibetan for 6 years and am going to be grooming our Havanese as well. I try to stay on top of the matting as it makes it much easier for me when I do give them haircuts. I also generally like to keep their hair longer and don’t do a super short cut when I do trim them. Thus, the right de-matting comb is crucial. I have a 9 blade comb I’ve used for years and recently decided it might be time to get a new one as it seemed like the blades were getting dull. I bought the Paw brothers 6-blade mini dematting tool last week and it has been a GAME CHANGER!! It literally goes through the mats like butter. I am in shock. My Havanese is just over a year old and is not yet used to being de-matted. I would be lucky if I could get her to tolerate it for 5 minutes. I felt like every day I’d find 5 new mats on her and that I could never get ahead of them. This new comb is so different she just lays there and lets me work on her for long stretches at a time. I barely need to apply any pressure when using the comb and it seems like it’s tugging very little at her skin, thus she can tolerate a lot more. I had resigned myself to needing to shave her belly because there were so many mats and her tummy is sensitive to the tugging. I thought I’d give this comb a try and MAGIC! Her belly is mat free in 10 minutes!! It’s truly amazing. I’m so happy… 100% recommend this comb.

Love this little one. It works really well and is easier to maneuver when working on a single matt. Best for concentrated areas.

This is a good size for mats. Easier to manage than bigger tools. Saws through mats pretty fast
