I have been very happy with it
I have had this pack for a year and have taken it on a dozen Scout outings, nothing too stressful, but it has got a decent workout. I have been very happy with it! The detachable day pack gets weekly use! 10 liters is just right for day hikes, its ability to collapse with a zipper to about 6 liters makes it even more versatile. The removable top compartment is also a bonus, I tend to keep my toiletry and personal items in there, so I can just pop it off and take it to the bath house, or keep it near my head for easy access at night. The lower compartment is the perfect size to fit my sleeping pad and down bag in. The lower compartment can also zip open for one big compartment. With the lower compartment opened up, and the top compartment adjusted all the way out, I can use the whole capacity of the Pack, which works out perfect to store my down bag uncompressed. Only thing I really wish this pack had is a couple small pockets on the belt. But there are attachment points on the belt to add some, although I have not yet found the right pockets to add.

Very Good design, High quality built and material usage
Used it for BSA High Adventure LTT outing. I'm 5' 8" and overloaded my Guerrilla Emperor pack to ~ 41 lbs. Hiked for more than 2+ miles and it feels solid. Stars:* High quality material used throughout.* Zipper system that opens up internally between middle and lower compartment to allow longer items (3 person tent) to fit.* Zipper side access bottom items in middle compartment.* Built-in Rain cover, access at the very bottom exterior zippered compartment* The 10 L backpack can be undocked from the main (75L) unit in case of Emergency or day pack hiking.Strike:- Pack weighs 7 lbs which is quite heavy but the toughness compensates for it. Good for backpack touring.- The zipper tabs are black and blended in with the Backpack color hard to find zipper end at night. So I used Orange Paracord to tie up with the Zipper pulls (tabs), so now they are much easier to find.

Fantastic pack
I did a lot of research on these style of packs and it had all the features I wanted. The detachable day pack provides me with the flexibility of carrying essentials for a day hike without carrying the entire pack. The pack has so many pockets you will probably never fill them all up. I like the bottom zippered pouch for shelter/sleeping items. The top pocket is detachable as well and can be used to hold things you need to get at quickly. The side pockets are long and able to hold longer items. There is a place to put a hydration pack and an access port for the tube.I bought the largest model because I needed a big pack but it isn't really unwieldy. It is totally adjustable. The outer straps allow tying down larger items that don't fit inside. There is no MOLLE webbing so it's hard to add pouches but that's okay because of the number of available built in pouches.

Hands down the best backpack for (hostel) backpackers
Why pay half a plane flight for a North Face when this guy is just as good? (Actually, better, because being cheaper it's less a target for thieving.) For two weeks in Costa Rica moving around cities and public buses, we used this and an older model Guerrilla pack (that has been roughed around India, Turkey, and China). The only complaint about the older pack is that the zipper ties would come undone (just tie a new knot). This backpack doesn't have that problem. In fact, we have no complaints. The unzippable daypack is very convenient, spacious, and made the older backpack user a little jealous. If you want a sturdy backpack with enough space to make you feel guilty for packing that much, that has a rain shield, that is decently lightweight, that has adjustable mounting for comfort, and is very durable, this is hands down the best you can buy.

but I can already tell from my experience with other packs where this pack is superior. The fit is great
I do not think I could be more thrilled with this purchase. The design is just incredible and for a fraction of the price of other packs. The zipper access in the middle and bottom make it so that anything in your pack is literally at your fingertips in seconds, which is a big advantage over the packs that only give you top access. I will be using the pack on an upcoming trip to Costa Rica for 2 months, so I'll be updating as it actually gets used, but I can already tell from my experience with other packs where this pack is superior. The fit is great, super comfortable to wear, and the organizational abilities are unparalleled. Just like the other post from Janaury 2014 (which led to my purchase) my travel partner is super jealous of my new pack over his much more expensive EMS purchase. Great quality and craftsmanship, superior design, and understated aethestics make this an ideal pack for my use. Not only that, but it's at a killer price and made in the USA! I had literally hunted for a month for a pack that I could use looking at all the major brands (EM, Osprey, Arcteryx) before finding this one by chance, and I would say it has all the features and incredible craftsmanship of an arcteryx bag for a fraction of the cost.

Great buy...
First-time buyer of hiking equipment, so was clueless. After spending weeks of researching, I selected the Guerrilla Packs Emperor Internal Frame, because of features and price. I wasn't disappointed. Extremely well made with room to pack a ton of gear. Easy multiple access and convenient detachable small pack. Returned from two weeks in Colorado mountains looking like new and packed neatly away.

It performed wonderfully and in many cases superior to other packs I ...
I bought this for less then half the price I could buy a similar pack at REI. I went to Philmont with two of my sons using this lower cost pack. It performed wonderfully and in many cases superior to other packs I saw in our group. It rained almost everyday and unlike other packs on our trip all my stuff remained dry...this was huge. My only complaint is that there are two tabs towards the lower back area which pop out occasionally. Not a big deal I just put them back in.
