I have had chapped lips for at least a month and it kept getting worse. I tried Chapstick, other various lip balms, lotion and nothing helped. My lips were so cracked and flaky (eww) that I felt bad kissing my husband. I ordered Lanolips 101 ointment, which was recommended on Good Housekeeping, and after about 36 hours my lips are back to normal. It feels like a miracle occurred.

I had ridiculously chapped lips. Skin peeling off, a couple of blood spots from skin peeling off - the worst. And why? because I stopped using my trusty aquaphor because that or Vaseline contain petrolatum which can break down into micro plastics and harm the environment- particularly marine life. So I was on the lookout for something that was natural and moisturizing. Got some beeswax initially - but I kept it in too large a bottle and so frequently forgot to apply. I also had to warm it up in my hand / fingers a lot before I applied it to my lips. So chapped they stayed. Until I found this wonderful natural product. Feeling quite sheepish that I didn't spot it earlier :DLanolin is easy to warm up between my finger tips and apply on to my lips and the product is so hydrating. I've been using it for ~3 HOURS now and all the dry skin is off and my lips feel super moisturized. It also doesn't feel like some goop is on my lips - which is how most other lip balms (including aquaphor) make me feel. You barely feel like there's anything on your lips - which is exactly how I like them.The product is a bit tricky to squeeze out of the tube - because it's pretty cold outside right now. But you only need a minuscule amount. So this works great!

Lanolips 101 Ointment has completely saved my lips! I struggled with constant dryness and burning, and nothing else worked—until this. I live in the Northeast & winters are particularly cold/dry & brutal. I've been dealing with dry lips for about a month but because of the excessive Aquaphor, Vaseline, La Roche Posay products I had been using, my lips started to cause some pretty severe irritation & swell to the point people asked if I had lip injections. It was so painful & after some research I read that Lanolin is a fast-acting solution to my long-standing problem. Within ONE DAY my lips were significantly better! I would also recommend applying a thick layer at night with a layer of La Roche Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 & you'll be as good as gold the next morning.

This product is great for hydration and for not worrying about what is going on my body. If you go to the Lanolips website, the only ingredient on the original, unscented/flavored product is naturally derived lanolin from sheep, which makes this a multipurpose cream that is safe for the family. This could be used on dry skin, in a pinch is can be used as nipple cream while breastfeeding, and is a true multifunctional hydration source, which is exactly what I was looking for. I rated 4 stars because for the price, I would expect the product to be completely full. The tube is only 3/4 on arrival.

It has very good moisturizing properties, but I just cannot justify such a price for how much you get.
