It's very sturdy and plenty wide. I had double knee replacement surgery, so it's difficult to get out of the tub without getting on my knees, because they are still tender if I try to kneel on them. I used the step as a boost in the tub to sit on, along with a hot tub booster cushion. The step was floating, but when I put the cushion on top, it held it down still enough for me to sit. I tried a shower chair previously, but it sat too high inorder to get the full effects of the tub. I have one bathtub step and I tried standing on it also to see how sturdy it really is (I'm close to 300 pounds). I give it a 5 for it's sturdiness. It's very well made! It comes with a thin cushion that you have to attach, which I didn't use.

This is a great step! I purchased it for a houseboat that had two steps down into the boat with the second step being deeper than the first one. This caused you to pitch forward and feel like you were going to fall. The step has completely solved that problem! It rests on a petty slick fiberglass surface and does not slide at all. It is very sturdy, hubs is about 250. Liked it so well we ordered the second one for the other end of the boat! My only complaint is I would have preferred that it not have the "wave" shape and been just a rectangle with rounded corners! Oh, we did not put the rubber surface sent with the step on. It was not necessary. We have never had it move or slip. This is a great step for many purposes!

Wider than most - sturdy, more comfortable surface. Using it for stepping into a shower with a 7" curb. I use it on top of a rubber backed rug in front of shower - it doesn't slide or shift.

I planned to use this bath step for getting into my bed. It works fine to step up, but when stepping down I twisted my hip. I'm sure this works fine for getting in and out of the shower, but using it for a step to something higher than the step doesn't work so well for me.

It’s the perfect height and square footage for stepping in and out of the fiberglass bathtub (for adult feet ;D)Our tub sits higher than the tile floor making it a little un-safe to step out and this is the perfect solution. The colors, white and gray upper mat blend in with all bathroom amenities.I also have to say Amazon provided excellent customer service. In my first order the step arrived cracked and had to be returned.They expedited the shipment and the next one arrived intact.Thank you!

Have used this only 4 times to step into and out of tub/shower combination. I weigh 161 lbs. and am recovering from a severe leg DVT and unable to lift my leg high enough so need this form of assistance . These corners are on the side of the hooks to add a second step to so feel it’s unsafe for use. I no longer have a box to return it but feel others need to be aware of this problem.
