Lightweight CLP that does it right
I was a Break Free CLP or bust gun cleaner ever since my Army days. Hours upon hours of cleaning my M16 - old habits die hard. A little under 20 years later, I purchased an AR-15 and was a bit worried I'd forgotten how to clean that type of weapon, but it all came back to me. After the first cleaning with Break Free, I took to the internet wondering if maybe there had been some advances in cleaning over the years. On gun enthusiast forum, I saw Gunzilla mentioned and decided to give it a go.This stuff cuts through fouling very nicely. It isn't oily and it doesn't seem to need the "mop up" that other CLPs do. A few Q-tips, a bore snake, a toothbrush, a few pipe cleaners and an old cotton shirt plus 20 minutes and I was done. Being used to cleaning until a Q-tip comes back clean wherever you swab it, I remember getting it there but then having to keep going, almost as long, before getting the small pools of cleaner out of there. If my platoon sgt. saw anything at all, you kept going. If we'd have had this stuff, no doubt he'd have me in the motor pool doing a pmcs on my vehicle in half the time (some reward!).I went through more of this product than I did Break Free, but it seems to me to work quicker and leave less behind, both fouling and cleaner. It is a lot lighter viscosity than anything I have used previously, to the point where you question if there is a LP to the CLP. There is definetely a lubricate and protect, just not so "motor oily."I would recommend this product to anyone who needs to seriously clean a weapon, including knives. If you find your blade gooey from opening/breaking down taped boxes, it takes that right off, too.

my go-to. And no smell either.
This is my go-to cleaner now. It works very well on all arms. I particularly like it for shotguns since a little bit seems to lean very well. My shotguns get used 3-4 times a week and only get cleaned once every few weeks. I have not found any plastics that it reacts with. Best of all it does not smell. At all. Granted, cleaner odors do not bother me (I think Hoppes #9 should be a cologne) but spouse entering the room after a cleaning session cannot detect a thing.I purchased the spray bottle first and then keep topping it up with the 16oz refill also available on Amazon. While it does seem to leave some lubrication behind, I do not use it as a unilateral CLP with nothing else, I use it primarily for it's cleaning and light lube properties. I use a separate lubrication or purpose-specific grease on the working or mating surfaces and protect the external surfaces with a finish from a silicone cloth. I don't like to leave my firearms greasy or oily/slippery in general.Cleans great. No smell.

Excellent safe cleaner, poor lubricant/protectant
If Gunzilla were advertised as just a cleaner, I would give it 5 stars - it does a wonderful job as a safer cleaner, easily removing deposits that BreakFree CLP couldn't touch, and I have no adverse reaction to either skin exposure or the vapors. Unlike Hoppe's Elite Cleaner/MPro 7 cleaner (the primary competition among "safe" gun cleaners), Gunzilla is not water-based and won't promote internal rust if traces are left inside mechanisms. Great cleaner, and worth it on that count alone. From my own use, Gunzilla appears to be ineffective as a lubricant/protectant. Initially, Gunzilla lubricated well, but after shooting a couple dozen rounds at an indoor range in semiautomatics, the guns started to have problems feeding and surfaces no longer appeared to have any lubrication at all to the touch (the slides feel bone-dry). Revolvers functioned flawlessly with Gunzilla and appear to have plenty of lubrication remaining after use.Note that in the "lubrication test" on Gunzilla's own website, they only fired 25 rounds in total immediately after lubrication. Competing gun lubrication products are tested to successfully fire hundreds of rounds in highly adverse conditions. Gunzilla simply cannot hold up as a lubricant, so use something else after cleaning with Gunzilla.Revolvers may be an exception where Gunzilla might be sufficient, since revolvers aren't as hard on lubricants as semiautomatics. So I give Gunzilla -1 stars for claiming to be a lubricant, because people who believe that claim and act on it may subject their firearms to unnecessary wear.Note that Gunzilla WILL attack some cheap plastics like PVC, but not most of those used in guns these days (supposed to be safe for polymer frames). Gunzilla damaged a cheap plastic-handle screwdriver that I used on one of my guns. Not a big concern, just something to be aware of.

Love thsi stuff, best gun cleaner/lube I've found
After reading numerous reviews and recommendations for this product I decided to try some. I've always been a Hoppes #9 guy, and it's worked well for me over the years. I had tried one of Hoppes all-in-one CLP products in the past but I was very disappointed, so I was a bit skeptical about this CLP. I'm please to say that this product worked excellent. It is an excellent cleaner, and you can definitely tell that it's "soaking in" to protect the metal. I don't worry about leaving a little bit behind because it makes for a great lube as well. Adding a little extra to the rails, etc. to keep things lubed and working properly has proved to do exactly what I want it to do, keep the action of the guns smooth.A product that does what it claims, doesn't stink up the house, and cuts a little time off my gun cleaning process... 5 stars in my book.
