I like being able to pray in Spanish. I am learning Spanish

In my neighborhood, we have a prayer group that has English speakers and Hispanics. This prayer book was really great in this situation. We even did a Morning Prayer in Spanish, yet everyone knew what was being said and everyone benefitted from it. It brought the residents closer together.Even if one is learning English or Spanish, this book could be a valuable tool in learning either language. In our community, we have an after school program that teaches children how to speak in either language. This prayer book is utilized for such activity with pleasant results. It is an inspiring way to instill values of faith and community within our children and now our neighborhood, once riddled with drug deals and violence, is a much safer place to live.This book isn't the whole "Book of Common Prayer" 1979 edition, used by the Episcopal Church in the United States, but everything in this prayer book is taken out from there. The binding is excellent and it comes with one ribbon. I do wish it had more ribbons, but the book still gets 5 stars from me. It is a very valuable resource that will last a long time.

I use this bilingual version for church each week and do have to still use the full BCP for reading of the Psalms. Like other reviewers mentioned, it does contain all the psalms which does make a difference unfortunately. This is not a useable BCP with stuff you never look at just stripped out which is what I initially thought "Selections from the Book of Common Prayer" would have been. I still believe a useable bilingual BCP with complete Psalms would be valuable if they size was kept smaller by removing the historical documents and other non-essentials from the full BCP. Of course, everyone would have their own ideas about what is non-essential in the full BCP.

I am delighted with this book of prayers and devotional helps and catechism. Such beautiful language and meaningful liturgy! A wonderful compilation of Christian thought that has blessed many countries for centuries. The Anglican tradition is not the one in which I was raised, but I am finding it spiritually enriching.

I thought I was ordering the perfect item for my needs -- a small form factor full BCP in Spanish and English. This book is smallish, though not the 4x6 size of some versions, but my main complaint is that this is an abbreviated version of BCP. Most notably, the Psalter is incomplete; I'm not sure what the rationale for that would be since I can't imagine a worship experience, especially a corporate worship experience, where the full Psalter would not be desired. Oddly (to me), no bilingual unabridged version is available. I wish this limitation had been made plain in the product description.

Very useful for my new ministry in Spain, working with English ex pats and local Spanish. It makes life easier!

This is not a complete BCP, but it is in both English and Spanish in a very usable style. Excellent.

Our bilingual congregation uses it every week without the time and expense of creating a church bulletin or order of service. Our priest prints out the psalm from bilingual lectionary service. It is not a complete BCP but it has all that is essential for worship except for the psalms. Word around our church is that it was translated by Cubans so it is a little more formal that our Tejano/Mexicano members would prefer sometimes.It allows the priest to shift between Spanish and English from paragraph to paragraph. It allows monolingual Spanish speakers and monolingual English speakers to understand the entire liturgy.One quirk is that the pages are numbered at the top with the pages from the complete BCP while they are numbered at the bottom sequentially. Visiting priests sometimes have to be reminded that our custom is to be directed to a particular page by then numbers at the bottom. We have to clue in visitors from other congregations to look to the bottom for the page numbers as well and to ignore the numbers at the top.
