Mislabeled pump
This pump was branded differently from the Hypro pump I usually buy in the USA. It had an Italian brand name on it. It was configured differently in that it had three holes instead of the usual two. I returned it, and will buy from somewhere else, to get the Hypro that I wanted.

This pump doesn't hold up well if not used regularly.
This pump is used in our Carpet Cleaning truck as a waste pump out but it will fail very early if not exercised regularly. It isn't inexpensive to repair therefore it is almost as cheap to replace as to repair.

Works well, but requires frequent, expensive maintenance
The first D30 pump we had self-destructed when we failed to replace a diaphragm at the recommended interval, which resulted in water mixing with the lubricating oil, which we did not notice. This was an expensive lesson.(We had to purchase a new pump.) Hypro recommends replacing diaphragms every 500 hours or 3 months, whichever comes first. In our small orchard we probably don't go much over 25 hours in 3 months. I talked to someone in Hypro tech support, who informed me that the 3 months is as important as the 500 hours. Since we use this pump over a 6 month period, that's doing a diaphragm replacement twice a year. Replacement kits are $60 to $70. In my opinion, that's a high maintenance cost. And then if you detect water in the oil (it will appear milky) and catch it quickly before damage is done, the entire pump has to be disassembled and washed with diesel fuel to remove all water residue. (this is per tech support and is what I'm now doing right now on a pump that is less than one year old.) This pump really pumps well, delivering a consistent pressure and volumn, so I am giving it 3 stars. However I made a mistake thinking I could cheat on the maintenance due to our limited use.

Not necessarily a hypro
Works as it should, dimensions are the same as my old hypro but there are some subtle differences. Pumps great, it’s about 1/8 of an inch taller that the hypro and the tags are all Italian. But all in all a good pump. Will buy another if I ever need one
